We booked a table yesterday having been encouraged by the reviews online. There was a magnificent fire work display and concert in Parga and we booked the restaurant as it is in a brilliant position. (They had put their prices up and insisted on a minimum spend which we had no issues with for good food, location and service.)
Very disappointingly, we found the service really poor and had to endlessly ask the staff for the things we needed. One meal was missed and didn’t arrive until we asked the staff twice! The wine was poor quality and very expensive and two of the expensive steaks my family ordered were overdone.
No one came to clear the table of the dirty plates, even 40 minutes after we had finished eating and we were not offered further drinks or dessert.
At the end of the meal, I politely complained to the waiter and gentleman who looked to be in charge and they couldn’t have been less interested……..They charged the full price for the meal and offered no apology.
My family, consisting of nine people, have eaten out in Parga every lunchtime and evening for the last two weeks, during our holiday and this is by far the worst service and food we have eaten. (Especially with each adult having a 50 euro per head minimum spend)
To give some context, I should add that this is the first time in many years that I have had to complain about a meal, which isn't my style.
Very disappointing...
Read moreWe arrived in Parga late in the evening, so Piatto was our first meal here. We were seated immediately. Initially, we didn’t feel very hungry and were just planning to share a bottle of white wine. However, we were tempted by the menu and charmed by a particularly friendly waitress with a twinkle in her eye, and ended up ordering some food as well. And we certainly didn’t regret it!
The food from Piatto’s kitchen was exquisite. We asked if the dishes could be served at the same time so that everyone at the table could taste and share according to their preferences—something like a tapas-style experience. The waitress agreed with a smile.
We ordered carpaccio, shrimp raviotti, chicken souvlaki, and garlic bread. The carpaccio was delicious, the potatoes with the souvlaki were unforgettable, and the raviotti is a must for any seafood lover. The garlic bread could have used a little more salt, but that was a minor detail, easily outweighed by the outstanding quality of the other dishes.
As mentioned, we weren’t all that hungry to begin with—but we ended up finishing everything, which the waitress joked about, wondering if we weren’t planning to eat the head from the shrimp that came with the ravioli too—the only thing left on our plates.
We’ll certainly be back, and next time we’ll make sure to arrive hungry so we can try even more...

We had dinner at Piatto for two nights in a row, and both experiences were absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. I asked for a custom version of the shrimp pasta without tomato sauce (even though it’s included in the menu), and they gladly accommodated my request. I can honestly say it was the best shrimp pasta I’ve ever had in my life – perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty.
What stood out just as much as the food was the hospitality and professionalism of the staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both excellent cuisine and such a high level of service.
If you’re in Parga, don’t miss this spot – Piatto is...
