I left this restaurant deeply disappointed with nearly every aspect of the meal. Having worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years, I have a clear sense of what to expect at this price point, and unfortunately, this place missed the mark. I ordered the filet mignon for around €35, and the presentation was uninspired. The meat lacked a proper sear and was burnt in some spots, with an uneven medium inside. It hadn’t been rested properly either. The sauce was a disaster—reminiscent of cheap American gravy from a packet, overloaded with green peppercorns. The mashed potatoes were clearly from a mix, and to top it off, they placed two asparagus spears on the steak that had obviously been frozen, leaving them with a watery texture. If you grill vegetables, they should be done in butter or oil, or at the very least finished with quality olive oil.
The bruschetta was a rare bright spot, with nicely toasted bread, though it leaned a bit too sweet for my preference. I also tried the shrimp, which were carelessly dropped into a bland tomato sauce with no seasoning whatsoever. There seemed to be a few chunks of feta, and for garnish, they simply tossed on some microgreens, which felt like a joke. I asked for bread, and while it was served warm and soft—a small win—it came with an additional charge of €2 per roll, which felt excessive for what was provided.
The dessert was a redeeming factor: a baked pastry filled with vanilla ice cream, beautifully complemented by piped chocolate ganache and drizzles of salted caramel. Despite this, the overall experience fell short. The menu is crafted to suggest a refined, culinary experience, and given the prices, you'd expect just that, but it was a letdown...
Read moreWe had an absolutely fabulous night at this restaurant.
The exterior, the design, the highly professional waiters and waitresses, who are all dressed nicely and act very courteously and politely, to the simply perfect and delicious food.
There is a nice variety of drinks available, among which some very tasty home made lemonades. The table water was served in a nice glass bottle.
The appetizers were very tasty and fresh, and the presentation was expensive and good looking.
Then the main course: presented on beautiful plates, in a very nice way, and the taste did not disappoint with anyone (3). Absolutely delicious pork belly, beef stifado, and sea bass, that you simply could not get enough of. The food was very good and fresh, and various tasty and special ingredients have been used.
Of course, we wanted to try a dessert, and we were not disappointed. An awesome combination of flavors in the chocolate cremeaux, which consisted of a small piece of 70% cacao chocolate pudding, on a bed of strawberry jam, along side some peanut foam, and finished off with strawberries, blueberries and chunks of vanilla cookies. Served on a beaituful, marble-like plate, it was a-ma-zing.
At the very end, we received a small shot of Limoncello, that was so tasty and refreshing it felt as if you used a citrus wipe to refresh your inner mouth.
The absolute killer here is that everything described is not expensive, at all. It only set us back 89 euro. I would say that this restaurant deserves higher prices, for all the effort and deliciousness. We all had guessed a much higher price for this...
