First time I trust the reviews and get really disappointed. The one star goes for the location view which is unique, and the free parking which in Bohali is really difficult. The service was slow. We got there at 10.10, as they say, they probably remember best, and they brought as the Menu on 10.30, the girl did apologize for bringing the Menu with some delay. At that point we did not even had water on the table and it was a very hot night indeed. We were served the fist plate "frysa" at 10.50 as I could verify the time from the photo details of that plate, our main dishes came around 11.30, the kids were very hungry as they were expecting their plates. I have a pictures of the musician just before we left it was 12.10. It usually does not take us more than 1.30 to finish dinner without desert. At some point after we had the cocktails, we asked for two glasses of wine, as they say 11.35, probably the time the main plates were served, I remember looking for the time as kids were tired. The waiter removed from the table my cocktail which was half full without asking me if I had finished it. The food was not the best. First time my husband does not finish his plate. He told me his chicken was dry. My lamb was OK. We also had a burger for my older son, he did not eat it, I haven't tried it to have an opinion, and my other son had something they called in the Menu "chicken tower" it was described as chicken slices on toasted bread served with grilled vegetables. It was actually a club sandwich that you usually get on the beach, I would not expect!!! The cocktails at 10 euros were probably ready made bottled cocktails, not good for my taste. The only fair plate we had was "frysa" a traditionally local cold entry plate. The quantity was good and the taste and price ok. The grilled vegetables we had as a hot entry was very small. 8 pieces of grilled vegetables with some parmesan flakes at 8.5 euros. 2 mushrooms, 2 zucchini, 2 eggplants, 2 peppers. The highlight of the night was the COCROACH walking around and on our feet, OK I understand we were outdoors, this can happen. The live music was very good however the musicians were mainly playing around ONE single table. We were lucky enough to be close to this table. We paid 110 euros and with this money we had better dinners and places on the island. I recommend a visit to bohali for a drink or a short visit for photo. I visit Zakythos every year since 2018, and I will not be returning to bohali for dinner
** There is no single lie nor intention from my side to hurt the reputation of the restaurant. My experience was worse than described, however I wanted to limit it to the extent to be fruitful to the owners and help them to get the service better. We never had water on the table even though I asked. If you check our receipt you will see that we did not had water on the receipt. The waiter did actually take my cocktail half full without asking me. She apologized and offered to get me a new one, however I said it was OK as it was actually not good. I had the mojito. We all have good days and bad days. The service was slow on that day we visited. I would expect an apologize not a threat to me for defaming the restaurant which has not been my intention whatsoever. My critique is my unique experience and I will feel free to share it. To be truly honest I feel a little "bullied" with the legal actions mentioned against me on the response of the restaurant. I hope it does not get this far as this mean that we will have to stop reviewing places. Reviews are subjective and personal, and I actually read many more one star critiques and I strongly feel that I had not been insulting in any way in my critique. Nor I understand why in the restaurants response they mention that I treat personnel as "slaves". We have been nothing more than polite, me my husband and my two young kids. I even tried not to scream with the Cockroach under my feet not to disturb the...
Read moreThis restaurant was recommended by almost every local we spoke with during our travels in Zakynthos- and for good reason! Fantastic traditional Greek food looking over the breathtaking view of Zakynthos town. The charm of this location is simply indescribable. The musicians were highly talented and played very traditional styles of Greek music throughout the night. This authentic Greek experience was everything I’ve been searching for during my stay....
