Aniki Japanese BBQ — Restaurant in Guatemala City

I highly recommend everyone to try this Japanese barbecue restaurant. The location is in the city center, the building is new and very clean, and the decor is simple yet retains a Japanese vibe. I ordered wagyu beef and some side dishes, and the flavors were very authentic; the meat melted in my mouth, and the salad had a unique dressing that was perfectly sweet and sour—absolutely delicious. For the side dishes, I had the fried tofu and chicken rice, which were very aromatic and made it hard to stop eating. Food was great! Shrimp came with this in-house sauce that was amazing I recommend it for your appetizer. Also had the ramen and it was also really good, I liked the presentation of it and the the flavor matched. Ordered some Wagyu which was amazing, followed by the lomito, which the chef recommended we dip in a sauce and squeeze a little lime which gave it a bit of fajita taste to a Japanese bbq. This was our first experience with japanese bbq and it was pretty great. We got two full sets for 4 people and it was a good amount for sharing. Loved the wagyu meat - the tongue, once we cooked it enough was probably the best meat we got.
