Casa de Cocteles Minerva — Restaurant in Guatemala City

I'm a traveler exploring the world, I did some research and ate at 5 of the restaurants I could find in Guatemala City based on the drink and food menu and pictures. Needless to say this place exceeded all my expectations. Aside from the beautiful small intimate space and dimly lit atmosphere, the service here was exceptional. The cocktail menu had some of the best rum and whiskey drinks I've ever had (exceptional mention to the Recondito) but the food pleasantly surprised me as well. On the slower nights there is a limited menu when I had the steak fries, pleasant delight. The busier nights they have the full menu and the truffle fries were a huge portion with tons of truffle flavor, the gnocchi and cheese entree was delightful and the grass fed ribeye came with an exceptional sauce and perfectly done mashed potatoes. I had to get the one desert on the menu and it didn't disappoint, the caramel sauce and flavored custom whip cream on a sort of bread pudding cake is something I wish I had more room to order again. Martin and Maria were exceptional hosts and cooks, extremely friendly and had great conversations with them on their menu and life.
