Yakitóri de Cava — Restaurant in Sololá

Tldr: I had a great lunch there. The view was great and the good was great.

I ordered the pollo (chicken)special curry, teriyaki skewers, and a miso soup.

The special curry was a fusion of Japanese and Thai style curry with some hardboiled eggs. I don't remember what was in the curry, I just remember demolishing it! 8/10

Teriyaki skewers had chicken, onions, and some tomatoes. Everything on it was good. Chicken was charred nicely. The sweet ripe tomatoes were grilled great. The onions were crispy. Fresh ingredients. 9/10

Miso soup was not what I expected, but delicious. No seaweed, or tofu, it must be hard to get those stuff from this location. There was some cucumbers and some other vegetable probably an eggplant. still delicious. 8/10

have spent many months in San Pedro over years. Japan or Yakitori de Cava is my favorite place. the food is incredible, the vibe is chill and Cava plays the ukulele/Cavanette regularly and is is beautiful. a quiet wonderful place to go and have lunch. the homemade ginger ale is superb as is the miso and the curry. I guess the miso soup tasted ok. But the rice bowl with vegetable was truly gross. Undercooked veggies mixed with rice and watery broth, some kind of sweet egg on top with loads of cumin. But the worst part it that within 5 mirrors of eating here, I started puking and couldn't hold down any food for the rest of the day. And I regularly eat street tacos with no ill effect.
