Hotel Xetawaa´l — Hotel in Sololá

Great value for money and very helpful staff - made our stay just that bit extra. Location is good for San Pedro, near the business (walkable) but also far enough away to be a bit away from the music. That said you do have dogs barking in the night (although I think that is unavoidable for the whole town..!). Bring some ear plugs and you’re fine.

Laundry service is cheap (5Q per lb), and good. Plus hotel felt very safe and secure. Room and whole place was also very clean.

This hotel is very basic on the facilities front. It has comfy enough beds and a kinda hot shower. They advertise a 24 hour front desk but that's a lie. Despite communicating with the front desk lady on arrival in Spanish she failed to tell us the front gate would be locked at night and did not give us a key. Coming back late at night being followed by a bit if a creep I found out that I could not enter my hotel. It took 10 minutes of yelling and banging for someone to wake up and let me in. Also it's very loud nearby so if you want to sleep...

Clean, spacious and comfortable. They offer laundry service for 5Q per lb. There is a kitchen on the rooftop for guest use. Including fridge and cooker. Location is great. Walkable distance to everything but far enough away that you can’t hear any bars or music. However you can hear dogs in the night. I don’t think you can get any hotel in Guatemala without dogs barking nearby 😄 there is some construction going on in the hotel but it didn’t...
