Green Beach Restaurant — Restaurant in Roatán

1 Star (only because I can’t give zero) An hour and 45 minutes later… still no food. Just attitude. And a $64 charge.

This was, hands down, the worst dining experience I’ve had in any country — and I’ve been to over 60.

My friend and I sat down and ordered a beer, a soda, an appetizer (just chips and salsa), and two entrees. We received our drinks promptly… and then absolutely nothing. No food. No explanation. Just silence and stalling.

After 50 minutes, I very politely asked if the chips and salsa were still coming. Instead of an update or apology, the bartender absolutely lost it on me — yelling, defensive, totally uncalled for. I stayed calm and asked if we could just get our food to-go. He said sure. Then we waited another 30 minutes. Still nothing.

At this point, we’d been there over an hour and twenty minutes and hadn’t seen a single bite of food. So I offered to go ahead and pay, tip, and just leave with the food once it was ready. He ran my card… and immediately charged me $64 — for one beer and one soda. That’s it. Nothing else had touched our table.

When I asked if the tip was included, he muttered something about only accepting cash tips “at this point” (??). I tried to help by offering Venmo. The account he gave me clearly belonged to a woman, and when I asked for the last four digits of the phone number to confirm, he got visibly angry again. Said “just forget it” and walked away.

At this point we were an hour and 45 minutes in, still without food, still trying to be reasonable. I literally asked, “What can we do to help you? We’ve paid. We’re trying to tip. What can we do?” And instead of answers, we got a full-blown meltdown.

I finally grabbed my friend’s arm and we left — confused, embarrassed, hungry, and $64 lighter.

That said, there are amazing places nearby. Mike at Silversides gave us fantastic service the night before. And The Argentina Grill just up the road had excellent food, ambiance, and staff — everything this place pretended to offer but never delivered.

Save your money. Save your night. Go literally...

Took well over an hour to get food in during a not busy time. They only brought out 3 of the 4 orders and the 4th order still wasn't out after another 20 minutes. We decided to leave instead of continuing to wait for the 4th order. Drinks are pricey comparatively to other places. The food that came out wasn't impressive, and certainly not worth the wait. If your just looking for drinks it's probably an okay place for that. We definitely won't be back...

My wife and I came last week we love it the food and drinks was really good especially the platter for 2 the cocktails for 2 great deal btw . Our waitress Ashley was amazing she is such a sweet young lady we came twice and she remembered us and our drinks now that’s amazing. She even help us out to go to great places to go on the island. We’re definitely will be coming back the next time...
