Pros: |The people that work there are really sweet and amazing people. They were very hard to keep the room clean and service at the restaurant we thought in the morning was very good.||Cons:||1. We stayed at this hotel because in the past it was a nice hotel on the ocean with the restaurant with a free breakfast. What they changed from two years ago, they started renting their beach cruisers people from cruise ships. so literally for five days we had to share the beach with people from a cruise ship seven rows deep of chairs maybe more couple of feet apart. The water was not clear. It was cloudy. They charge the cruise ship passengers to come, and they don’t care about those who stay at the hotel. It ruin 5 of our beach days completely-. |Having the cruise ship passengers there also Drew all those that sold goods and massages. My teenage daughters tried to sit in chairs with males sitting right in front of them, staring at them and continually bugging them to buy stuff.|They absolutely ruined this hotel by allowing cruisers to come and sit and drink and take up the beach. |We would go down to Roatan and infinity and the waters there, but we’re still clear because they do not allow cruise ship passengers to come in their property.||2. The second biggest issue was garbage.. There’s large piles of garbage from the restaurant that are left there and literally thousands of flies on the garbage. You would have to drive by this every day in and out if you left within feet of the piles of garbage.||3. One of our rooms did not have AC for three days. The last time we rented from them, we had the same problem. I messaged them before we got there and asked them to make sure the AC was working in both rooms we rented. Instead of taking care of it we had three nights with horrible or no sleep.||4. Another issue we had was the pool was not clean and I would have to send them a message on messenger to turn the pool pump on. It is very dangerous and a huge health issue not to be chlorinating and running on a pool, especially this pool because it has over hanging trees, and a lot of matter in the water all the time.. having this much particles and unclean could cause...
Read moreThis is an interesting hotel given it's combination with Argentinian Grill. I would say it's a restauarant first, hotel second. After the restaurant closes, I believe there is no one on-site. The WhatsApp number I was communicating with seemed to be one lady at a central location managing multiple properties, because when I texted to ask for maintenance to fix the fan over the bed which wasn't working, she realized she had dispatched maintenance to the wrong hotel and at that point it was too late to send them to me. The lack of access to a hotel type of employee made certain things difficult- when we needed to get to West End for a morning dive, we waited for a water taxi for over an hour only to find out (once the restauarant opened and we had access to a person to ask questions to) that they were unlikely to be running that day due to weather forecast and the restaurant then helped us by having one of the staff drive us I'm the restaurant truck to West Enqd (which was very kind since we were short on time but also the help didnt come for free, so perhaps less kind and more entrepreneurial).
The rooms are definitely overpriced for what you get, but that's all of Roatan and especially West Bay for you. The king bed was as advertised, AC worked well once we turned it on (when we arrived it was super hot because I guess it hadn't been turned on in a while). If you wanted to cook most of your meals, this would be an excellent place due to the kitchenette.
The highlights of the stay were the security guard Julio, the included breakfast, the beachfront chairs, the animals we saw around the hotel (agouti, Alison's anole, yellow crowned nightcrane), and the king sized bed.
The lowlights were the distance from the best snorkeling spot on the far side of West Bay, the relative isolation from the rest of Roatan when the water taxis aren't running (road is private so you won't just find a taxi, you have to organize one), the lack of ability to get tourist information like you would from onsite...
Read moreOur stay at Hotel Posada Seremein was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warm and welcoming atmosphere that felt like being part of a family. Jonathan and Jose went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was special, especially with how they interacted with our son, Clark.
The accommodations were fantastic—our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and the beds were incredibly comfortable with soft, high-quality linens. Each morning, we enjoyed our coffee from the porch while watching hummingbirds and macaws flutter by, truly a breathtaking sight!
The pool area transported us right into a scene reminiscent of a "White Lotus" episode, adding to the resort's charm. Each day began with a delicious made-to-order breakfast that was fresh and satisfying. In the evenings, we dined at the Argentinian Grill, where the food was not only incredible but served in a romantic open-air setting that made for unforgettable dinners under the stars.
Additionally, the beach access was superb. The beach chairs were always ready for us, complete with umbrellas for when we wanted to relax in the sun. The location is perfect—clear waters that are refreshingly uncrowded, unlike the busier areas of West Bay. Plus, with water taxis conveniently located right on the beach, getting to West End for more adventure was a breeze.
We cannot recommend Hotel Posada Seremein enough! The incredible service, beautiful surroundings, and delicious food make it the perfect getaway. We will definitely be back for another...
