Corvin Gastropub — Restaurant in Budapest

Amongst many things I hate, unmotivated arrogance is a solid one, and our waiter portraited it in the most expressive way.

We were welcomed by a confused "Hello" just as we entered. The place doesn't look like you should wait to be seated, but I guess that was the reason for the confusion in the waiters voice. The sign over the entrance clearly stated "Gastropub", so naturally, we assumed that apart from a wide range of beers they serve, a classic simple pub snack of peanuts would be available. Upon asking if they serve peanuts, we were surprised by the waiters answer: "No, it's a restaurant".

There were so many ways to answer in a different manner, yet waiter chose to be absolutely arrogant for literally no reason. I can't find any motivation for this, and it felt like this kind of attitude was based on the fact that we're foreigners. The place really isn't as classy as it was in our waiters imagination.

After this experience, we didn't want to stay, so we only had a beer. They have a great selection of various beers, the place looks cozy, and the food looked nice.

So sad we unlucky enough to stumble upon this waiter during our short stay in this...

Price yes dont be afraid of bjutiful interior and fancy menue that restoran have frendly price ! even compare to near places ! interior fresh modern creative fell like modern spot in new yourk( just beter ) 4 . Service frendly provesional weiters look more like models FOOD FOOD and one more time FOOD to be clear it was mi best chiken what i remeber ( chiken very boring think to make intresting ) and desert i have paflova was sou fantastik that i order second one and if not judging me look of weiter who look more like angel i was think abaut 3d one ) what can you dont like ? it open kitchen for some people it problem keep in mind but ventelation work good and look how work kitchen plesure for the eys ( specialy ther cool team mi respect to you all ) you beter call and book table before because they are full full full 3 . FOOD yes FOOD it sou good that you will stop kalkulate calories...

In the evening I was looking for a place to have dinner but I couldn't find it, the only one I found was here. I had a good time, I had a goulash and it was delicious. The service was excellent and in optimal times. The price was high but average (at the central market I had spent more and eaten much worse).
