We found this Japanese restaurant a few feet from the hotel where we were staying. While no doubt the food looked good from the menu, the portions were not what we expected. While expecting a good sized bowl of seafood udon, I was less than flattered when I received mostly broth and not enough noodles and not much of the seafood as advertised. It was a rainy Sunday night in Budapest and I wanted something hot to stimulate my senses. My wife had the seaweed salad and I believe what I thought was like a seafood stirfry. Again it was a letdown from the food portion standpoint. For the price per dish, you'd expect a bit more. The saving grace was the freshly made, light and airy vegetable tempura. My regret was probably should have ordered more of it but it was getting late at night as we had an early flight out of Budapest.

I will return to Budapest on a cruise sometime later this year and I will return to...

Terrible experience. Ordered two of the sushi plates for a large group of people. It took about an hour and a half just for them to bring the first one out and the next one was coming shortly. Great, we thought and half the table started to eat what had come out assuming the other half would come out shortly as promised. Low and behold, 30 minutes later with half the table fed, we are confused as to why only half the food is come out so we ask the waiter and are told another 25 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. We were also told that the salad that was ordered an hour and a half ago is actually not available. I guess the lettuce was not growing quick enough or something. Ended up just leaving with half the group unfed. Do not recommend. Extremely slow and...

The restaurant is very low profile, not too fancy but I must admit the atmosphere is very good. The restaurant is cozy and the environment is very clean and puts you in the rational Japanese typical mindset (no frills). The food was really good, I'd say it took a while to get it but it was a pleasant time to wait, in this way there's time between courses and the food was made on the spot (reason for the waiting). The lady was super nice and very respectful, not pushing to order but immediately available when needed. The price was very fair, I must admit I was expecting more. To an all you can eat restaurant you spend €20 and the quality is very low, here, by spending €35 p.p. you're way...

My first time here was last year in late autumn, and I had a great first experience. I ordered ramen, while my friends ordered sushi and miso soup, and I can say that everything was delicious. Now, every time I go to Budapest and I crave some Japanese food, I go and eat here. The latest visit of mine there was in June this year, and I got ramen, jasmine Chinese tea along with Katsu udon. Staff was very friendly as always, the order came in less than 10 minutes, atmosphere was amazing, ramen was very tasty, katsu udon was really good, the best fried meat I’ve ever had probably, and the jasmine tea had a strong, nice flavour. I recommend!

Happened to find this place while searching for a restaurant close to our hotel. In a word…fantastic! The service was friendly and there was a great sense of teamwork among the crew. Everything we ordered was nicely presented. Hot dishes were hot and cold dishes were cold. Since I love sushi, this will be added to my list of favorites for a repeat visit. The vegan sushi was outstanding and passed the taste test of our pickiest eater who was convinced he couldn’t eat anything at a sushi restaurant.
