PORT beer&food — Restaurant in Budapest

Please don't eat here. They were completely and utter rude. I sat for 27 mins before they even came back after the appetizer and first drink ( virigin p.c ) welp I was never asked again if I needed another drink. Then they brought my take away order out at the same time as the appetizer. When I asked if they could start the takeaway after the appetizer was complete.

Nope, they took it back and put it in a box and tried to give it to me COLD after 35 mins making it. Then, I demanded I pay for it even though they admitted they misunderstood my request. I stood there until the cook remade it as he touched the first one and tasted a piece and no lie. Was about to pan heat it back up to give me. ( Major health code violation and concern. The Germans next me even stood up for me.) They remade it after the dishwasher told the cook and waitress it needs to be remade, I paid, left, and gave the fresh food to the homeless person by my hotel.

They even left the menus only on my table. I used to be a waitress, I get it. But be professional. I had brunch today at another location, and they were so SWEET and awesome.

Bad apples everywhere. No, they didn't have a manager working...

My server was polite, friendly, and not very observant! Once I got his attention, everything was good. The Belgian wheat beer hit the spot nicely, and I didn't even have to go beyond page 1 of the extensive beer menu. I had the goose liver starter, a pate with a fruit jelly on top, served with warm brioche. The portion was rather small but the taste was very nice; not too rich thanks to the tartness of the jelly. The salad leaves, repeated on the main, were a little sad looking, but at least gave me the appearance of having eaten a vegetable. My main was pork medallions with croquettes in a mustard sauce. The sauce was on the edge of being overpowering, but the fact that I finished almost all of it suggests I protest too much. The seasoning of the pork was utterly sublime. I can say with reasonable certainty that it's the best pork loin I've had (and both my wife and I do good things with meat and a grill). I'm writing this before dessert, but so far it's a strong...

More than disappointing, really sad! Arriving 7 minutes before 12 o'clock so we know that we have to wait a few minutes. But the bar was already open, people were already inside and it would have been possible to wait in the outer arena from the Bar. But the waiter told us to wait 20 minutes, so for later than the opening hour is... Well, we were in the mood for having some drinks and lunch, also my wife needed a toilet :-) But, for sure, because of this incredible service we went around the next corner looking for an other restaurant. No recommendation at all, sorry guys! Never again, and thanks a lot for this...
