GoodSpirit Whisky & Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Budapest

I hate to give bad reviews, but… We visited this bar yesterday. Drinks good, service terrible. The bartenders didn't pay any attention to us and we waited at least 20 min for drinks in a half empty bar. When we returned almost the entire drink that we didn't like, no one showed any interest in why we didn't drink the drink. Not once did anyone ask us if everything was ok and if we were happy with what we were served. The bartenders were having fun amongst themselves, but no one noticed that we hadn't had anything to drink for 20 minutes or so. (We sat right IN THE MIDDLE at the BAR) When we wanted to order ham and cheese at 9:40pm, we were told that the kitchen was already closed, even though the menu said they were "cooking" until 10pm.

On the first page of the drink menu its said, and I quote: „Great bartenders love dealing with their guests at least as much as they are fascinated by the beauty of the spirit and cocktail world. We are proud that we have properly trained staff to serve our guests, but that alone is never enough.We want to welcome and host everyone in a way that makes them feel at home..."

Sadly, this was nowhere near the case and we felt very unwelcome rather...

GoodSpirit Bar is simply amazing. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and quick service where every single member of the team was focused on providing an unforgettable experience. As I am not the biggest whisky fan, I’ve opted for a few cocktails instead. All cocktails were outstanding with perfectly crafted flavors and quality ingredients. Visiting on a relatively unbusy/idle weekday (which is quite the shame considering how good this place really is) allowed for longer conversations with the staff who were kind enough to provide tastes of future (signature) cocktails - these were excellent by the way.

The atmosphere is warm and stylish, the bar is beautiful. A fun and unique addition that caught my attention was the phone booth acting as the restroom/toilet entrance at the side of the bar.

All in all, GoodSpirit Bar is an outstanding place to visit if you are craving a nice cocktail or pretty much any kind of spirit, especially if it is whisky (hence the name). Will be back in the...

Today we were in this bar with my friend and after receiving our invoice we found out that instead of two coctails they invoiced us three and instead of two glasses of wine they invoiced us three. We objected this and the explanation was that the waiter did not remember well. So be careful may be they will not remember well in your case....

I got a feedback from the manager and I have more concerns: Security cameras - based on GDPR, the bar should have my consent to make video records, I did not provide my consent, so it really makes me worry about this fact. The manager acknowledged that finally invoice was correct after our objection, so he has acknowledged overbilling of consumption. My review did not mention anything about the response from the manager, I do not even understand why the manager writes about it, I have an impression he writes just for the sake of writing something. 4.For sure I will never ever come to this place because of secret videos made about everybody, and because I do not trust the staff.
