Beerstro14 Steak House Restaurant — Restaurant in Budapest

Amazing restaurant! Ordered the beef tartare, carpaccio and meat platter to share (rare) and it was all super delicious!! The carpaccio and the beef tartare had great additions to them that worked really well with the meat and each bite was very flavorful, the carpaccio needed a sprinkle of salt for my taste but I prefer to add salt than something being to salty. They also served bread with our meal and hands down it was the best restaurant bread I’ve ever had. It wasn’t bland and it tasted very freshly baked and it was warm. We got no butter or anything to eat with the bread but it tasted so good on its own that we didn’t feel the need for it.

The menu also had pictures of the food in it witch is something I think every restaurant should have!! It was so much help since I’m usually the type to look up a restaurant on instagram to see what what the menu items look like and it was the first time seeing that in a restaurant and now I don’t know how to live without it.

The staff was so nice and professional it was like a breath of fresh air compared to the other places we visited in Budapest. They were very accommodating and they give great cocktail recommendations. They also brought out the food super fast so no need to wait 45 minutes just to get your food.

A huge bonus was that the bathrooms had hand sanitizer in each bathroom stall so you could wipe the seat down if you wanted to. I’ve never seen that before so I always bring my own hand sanitizer to wipe public toilets off, seeing it at the restaurant was such a nice touch to the experience as a whole.

Would absolutely recommend this place to a friend and I would definitely go back in the future. We were a party of 4 people and we had in mind to go to a bar after the restaurant, however, by the time we finished everyone was so extremely full that we all wanted to go home and sleep! None of us has ever experienced being so full before, but the food was too good to...

We visited this restaurant early on a Sunday evening and the place was buzzing. This is clearly a popular restaurant in Budapest with people patiently waiting for tables to clear! I can’t imagine we were much help as we settled down into a fantastic meal, sharing the duck liver and smoked aubergine followed by the sharing steak platter.

With the price, name Beerstro, and a focus on steak, I wasn’t really expecting the rest of the food to necessarily be the standard that it was, but the starters bordered on fine dining, with the main being a hearty chopping board of steak and sides cooked to our preference. The smoked aubergine was a little lacking in taste, but I wouldn’t hesitate to order it again.

We were especially keen to try a range of Hungarian wines, which our waiter was only too happy to help with. We were given the opportunity to taste several wines before the glass was poured. He had a good eye for what we were looking for, and this made the experience a bit more special.

We had our little boy with us who slept beautifully in his pram next to us. The venue itself is a wonder with a large covered outdoor seating space surrounded by an elegant building. We didn’t get a chance really to observe indoors which is the focus in the winter, but with everything else as it was, I would highly recommend.

We didn’t actually ask if there were any changing facilities for our baby but they certainly weren’t in the ladies.

This was my favourite place to eat during my holiday, by far the best tea that we had in Budapest! The interior was beautiful, we sat inside initially then were moved outside to the terrace when a table was free and the outside was absolutely spectacular! If you are wanting a more romantic atmosphere, I would definitely try see if they can sit you outside.

The service was phenomenal and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had planned to order the hanger steak yet the waiter asked me questions before I ordered it to make sure I knew what type of steak it was as he knows many people are unsure on it. He showed me alternative options which were more suited to what I like and I ended up going for a different steak. Very thankful I didn’t end up ordering the hanger steak because the meal I had was absolutely delicious, although I’m sure the hanger steak would also be delicious too for those who can hack the chewiness.

My steak was absolutely divine, it was cooked to perfection how I asked, and it was so juicy and moist, not a single bit overcooked or dry. The peppercorn sauce that came alongside it was so delicious and creamy and really enhanced the flavour of the steak. By far one of the nicest steaks that I have ever had.

I would definitely recommend having an evening at Beerstro14 one night if you are in Budapest. It is a little bit more expensive than most restaurants in the area, but it definitely worth the extra cost, as the food is incredible and you will receive...
