Planet Sushi Oktogon — Restaurant in Budapest

I used to come here often.

The last time I was there (this was a while ago, so I know I may be a little late, but I’ll write my review anyway)I was served by a new waiter. Me and my friends said Hello as soon as we walked in, but he didn’t even bother to answer, even though he looked straight at us. We sat down, then waited for him to come over so we could place our orders. We asked for tap water, but he declined - and he did it again when I told him I was there just a week ago. Somehow it wasn’t a problem before... it's actually illegal for licensed restaurants to refuse customers free (tap) water.

Then, when we wanted to pay and we didn’t give him a tip, he just decided to simply keep the change anyway. It wasn’t much, but it’s still my money and I should be able to make the decision of wether or not I want to give him a tip myself!

The food is great here and other than this waiter, everyone else is very helpful and nice. Since then, I only order online...

The food is very nice the service is very bad. There is a variety of food. The sushi was very tasty. My friend complained about the matcha because it was bad (Matcha should be served between 100 to 250ml of water. Not 500ml, and before even drinking it already looks bad, cause the color looks grey. And it would be a bright green) after asking to remove the matcha, he immediately brings the receipt with card before even asking us if we want to pay by cash or card, and we didnt even ask for the receipt. When we asked to pay separately he said "as you can see im too busy for that". EXTREMELY RUDE. IF YOU PAY 15% FOR SERVICE YOU SHOULD AT LEAST GET DECENT SERVIXE.

And the fact the manager is nowhere to be seen when we want to complain. A great service should have AT LEAST a few waiters and a manager to be present. Its frustrating when you are hunting for their attention .

We went to the restaurant because we like sushi and seafood. We were a group of 6 friends visiting Budapest, our hotel was on Andrássy Avenue so we decided to go there for lunch. Unfortunately we were very disappointed by the overall unfriendly atmosphere and approach of the staff. Some of us sat down at a table but there were some tables without chairs. We saw some unoccupied chairs and politely asked the staff if they could put chairs to the empty table but they were very uncooperative and said the restaurant was busy (we clearly saw that it was not that busy because of the unoccupied tables) and we had to wait outside. Then after a while they put some chairs for us around a table and brought us the menu. However, we waited for more than twenty minutes, nobody took our order. Because we had a meeting with the rest of our group and didn't want to be late, we left the restaurant eventually and ended up at the McDonald's round a corner. Very...
