If you're looking for a spot that absolutely nails both the food and the dining experience, look no further than Vinyl & Wood. My visit here was an absolute delight from start to finish.

Let's start with the most important part: the food is spectacular. This isn't just your average bar food; it's clear that serious thought and care go into every dish. We tried the Whiskey Glazed Burger and the Wood-Fired Pepperoni Pizza, and both were exceptional. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, with the whiskey glaze adding a sweet and smoky depth that was incredible. The pizza had a perfectly charred, chewy crust and high-quality pepperoni that curled into little flavor-filled cups. Every bite was a reminder of how delicious simple, well-executed food can be.

But what truly elevated the meal was the service. In an era where slow service is often the norm, the team at Vinyl & Wood is a well-oiled machine. Our server was at our table with a warm smile moments after we sat down. Our drinks and food arrived with surprising speed, especially considering how fresh and clearly made-to-order everything was. Despite how quickly everything came out, the service never felt rushed. Our server was attentive, friendly, and offered great recommendations.

The combination of incredibly tasty food with service that is both fast and genuinely friendly is a rare and winning formula. Vinyl & Wood has instantly become a new favorite. I can't wait to go back and work my way through the rest of the menu....

We had high expectations for this brunch spot, but it was a major disappointment. The service was very poor. Since it’s self-service, you place and pay for your order at the counter, and the woman handling payments was extremely unfriendly and clearly unhappy with her job. Her negative attitude made the whole experience uncomfortable.

The food arrived quickly but was quite average – nothing special. I’m not sure how this place has a 4.8 rating; there are far better and more pleasant options nearby.

We were also charged for a salad that never arrived. When I mentioned this, the staff reacted defensively, asking what I wanted to do. I asked for a refund since we were already leaving and had finished eating. The cashier responded rudely, slammed the fridge door in front of me, and said something in her native language to a colleague. When I asked if there was a problem, she replied, ‘No, I’m talking to myself. I don’t want to argue with you.’ Completely unacceptable behavior.

The outdoor seating area felt chaotic and uncomfortable, and the construction site across the street made it dusty and unpleasant.

Disappointing Experience – Food Too Greasy and Poorly Prepared

Today we ordered two portions of Eggs Benedict – one with bacon and the other with salmon. The staff here is very friendly, but unfortunately the food was quite disappointing.

The toast under both Eggs Benedict was soaked in butter and felt almost wet from the grease. What shocked us even more was that the salmon Benedict was mixed together with ham – a very strange and unappealing combination.

The cappuccino was also poorly prepared: the foam had big bubbles, disappeared quickly, wasn’t creamy or stable, and had a strange taste.

Another thing that surprised us is that they don’t seem to use a dishwasher. All the dishes are washed by hand and served with visible water drops on them.

Overall, we didn’t enjoy the experience. I don’t understand how this place has over 8,000 reviews and such a high rating – maybe it used to be much better, but...
