Went for one drink - stayed for four cocktails.
Excellent experience, flavours and service.
I higly recommend sitting on the bar. If you like to talk about cocktails and learn about them, going early after opening is the best as the bartenders really give great service by explaining the ingredients and cocktails.
I've tried the signature cocktails as I wanted something special (not the classic ones): Bees' street Fujisan Indigeno Liquid munchies
//// Bees' street //// If you don't really like whiskey but want to try it in different setting - it's nice to have intro into the world of whiskeys. The other ingredients are strong so the whiskey will not be too overpowering.
//// Fujisan //// In case you like whiskeys and cocktails - this is the perfect one. The whiskey is the main note and flavour, the other ingredients play a second role.
//// Indigeno //// Amazing! Maybe my favourite. Loved the taste - it was really special. The combination of olive mascarpone with main notes was very special. Highly recommended if you want to try something different.
//// Liquid munchies //// Amazing as well! If you like smoky and dark notes - go for it! Still don't know if Indigeno or this is my favourite. Very special, very different. The harmony of the flavours is hard to describe :)
Big thanks to the amazing bartenders - Rico and Eszti. See...
Read moreFantastic setting and incredible craft cocktails. Discovered this place one random evening in Budapest and was definitely impressed. I felt over-dressed in other bars that were a bit chaotic for my taste but I immediately felt at home and at ease in this stand-out upscale gathering place. Outside it is a raucous clamoring of college kids doing pub crawls. However, once you step inside, you are transformed to a different vibe altogether - warm and inviting with sumptuous colours and lighting. The noise outside vanishes immediately and you are immersed in a modern vibrance and flair that is nothing less than sensual, dreamy, charismatic, and intoxicatingly familiar all at the same time. It captures your soul and settles your mind into a seat intended for your arrival. You don't hear the noise on the street and can feel completely comfortable in dress casual and business attire unlike most bars in this area it seems. The mixologist bartender was fantastic and attentive. Have you ever had a proper drink in Budapest? Here, you will. I tried several places and felt out of place, but this one hands down grabbed my attention. A Japanese whiskey cocktail with algae and salt rim? Yes, it was fantastic. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the music fits in perfectly for your mood. I will be back with...
Read moreThis was an unexpected joy to find. You should not miss it if you fancy yourself a mixologist.
I went there with a friend with whom I share a passion for mixology. Just to give you an idea, we make our own infusions and syrups for our drinks. We also do a lot of research into molecular mixology.
I had the best Negroni I have ever had. I asked the bartender/owner how he made it, and he told me that he modified the typical Negroni 1:1:1 mix . Instead of one part Vermouth, one part Campari, He creates an infusion in Sous Vide with pink peppercorns and raisins of Vermouth, Campari, and Red Wine in a ratio of 3:2:1. This blew my mind. He poured it over the most perfectly cubic transparent rock of ice with a garnish that was lemon peel in the form of a scripted number Seven.
We liked it so much that we dragged our tired wives back the next day. The whole time we were there we were exchanging trade secrets with the Owner/Mixologist. The depth of his knowledge was really impressive. The other people at the bar were just as professional and dedicated.
It is great to see a place that strives for excellence and has a passion for what they do. I have to believe they will have a wildly successful future.
Thank you for a great experience...
