To us, Zenobia Budapest is far more than just a restaurant – it is a place to which we return time and again with great pleasure. As regular guests, we are consistently welcomed with exceptional quality, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and impeccable service.
The staff are exceptionally attentive, courteous, and thoroughly professional – individuals who clearly take pride in their work and perform their duties with genuine dedication. No request is ever too much; everything is handled with grace and a smile. Such attentiveness has become increasingly rare in today’s hospitality landscape.
We would like to give special recognition to the restaurant manager, Mr. György Rolléder, whose presence adds a unique charm to every visit. He is not only visibly engaged but plays an active role in shaping each guest’s experience. Mr. Rolléder is charismatic, thoughtful, and sincerely committed to ensuring that every guest leaves fully satisfied. His passion for Zenobia is unmistakable and evidently inspires the entire team.
The cuisine is consistently outstanding – marked by authentic flavors, exquisite presentation, and a clear emphasis on quality ingredients. Each dish reflects a deep sense of culinary expertise and passion.
Zenobia has become our trusted choice whenever we seek a refined and memorable gastronomic experience.
We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone – whether for a romantic dinner, a family celebration, or a gathering with friends, a visit to Zenobia promises to be a truly...
Read moreZenobia is a restaurant that serves authentic Lebanese and Syrian cuisine. The appetizers, including hummus and mutabel, were delicious and flavorful, capturing the essence of Middle Eastern cuisine. However, our enjoyment was marred by an unexpected charge for bread, which traditionally accompanies these dishes in Lebanon and Syria. This felt like a significant oversight and was disappointing, as bread is an essential component meant to complement the appetizers.
For the main course, we opted for the mixed kebab. The chicken pieces were flavorful and juicy, but the lamb and chicken kofta, while well-seasoned, were, unfortunately, dry.
The décor at Zenobia is beautiful, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. However, the service left much to be desired. Our waiter took our order but then disappeared, leaving us feeling neglected throughout the meal.
As a Lebanese patron, I find it particularly discouraging when a restaurant like Zenobia charges for bread, given its cultural importance in Lebanese and Syrian dining. Bread should naturally accompany the appetizers and main courses without an additional cost.
Overall, while the food had its highlights and the ambiance was pleasant, the service and unnecessary charges were disappointing. Zenobia has potential but needs to address these issues to provide a more authentic and satisfying...
Read moreWe were staying at the wonderful Hotel Moments right in the heart of Budapest, and this is the attached restaurant that we ate our breakfast in during our stay. On the last day we decided to take an evening meal there. Very Mediterranean menu, compact, and not overpriced options. The main issue we had was that bearing in mind it was not overly full, it took a long time for the food to arrive. We waited over an hour for our dishes, although drinks arrived promptly enough. The atmosphere was good and it had a lovely ambience and style. Unfortunately, once we got the food, it was overcooked and bland to the point when it was hardly touched. Once I complained to the Manager, they took off one dish and gave us a free dessert. To little too late. Really poor quality meat and badly prepared. I always hate leaving reviews like this, except maybe the owner reads it and makes an improvement. Not recommended until they sort out the kitchen. Just another tip, some of the pictures look nothing like real...
