ALT Rooftop Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I wish there was a rating lower than 1, maybe 0.5 (just being generous here) should do it. Anyway, we reached the restaurant on time but while we were at our starters, it started to rain which is pretty common in Bengaluru. So we thought we would be shifted to a closed space. Apparently, the closed space is a shed with plastic sheet walls where only 4 tables were available in total. And when you are on a rooftop restaurant, plastic sheets won't be able to hold those high winds. Finally, the plastic sheets broke down and the rods holding them attacked the crowd. Everyone left the area and rushed towards the lift area. Although the weather was cruel but this was somewhat expected on this high ground. We all were disappointed with the arrangements they made to tackle such weather, which was NULL. This was very disappointing for everyone and we never expected this from a such a high end restaurant. But this is not the end of the story. Apparently, their computer systems on the rooftop had crashed. After we went down to their second restaurant for billing, we realised that we were being charged for main course, which we never had. After pointing it out, they finally agreed to resettle the bill. But still, the manager seemed to be very disrespectful when talking to us. We had an argument and manager started raising his voice. Finally his assistant came and handled the situation and we left. Another disappointment was the taxes we were charged. We were charged an additional tax of 10% which seemed like we were cheated upon. Overall, it was a bad experience. And I wouldn't recommend anyone else to go there. Go to Indira Nagar, Koramangala, anywhere else but don't go there. Total waste of money and no good...

Needless to mention on what you go through on the Whitefield roads, the reach to this place is alright. Outside of the VR Mall, get in to the lift and you can go straight up to the roof. We had booked the table through Easydiner and we weren’t on the restaurants list. We were offered a lounge instead of table, we asked for a better seating - table and chair, we were told that everything was booked, but after little negotiation and persuasion, we got what we were looking for. So, can’t say whether there were prior reservations. There is no menu on mock tails. Ask what you feel like and they will offer you a drink of canned juices, not fresh made juice. Food menu, only finger food, very limited choices. Main course isn’t served at all. Browse the menu using mobile torch, because there is not enough light up there. Ambience, unfortunately, there was a DJ, who seemed to have been enjoying his own punjabi music through the untuned speakers, that beamed the mids and the treble, so terrible that you couldn’t hear your own partner sitting on the table. Somehow you felt lucky if one of the bartender heard you screaming for attn. to service. Asked for the bill. The paper roll at the counter was over, so we waited about 7 mins just to get the bill. We used Amex cards, for which the card machine wasn’t available with them. So, we were asked to go with one of the bartender to the residences reception downstairs, used our Amex card, paid bill and left through a different lift altogether, was perhaps only meant of the folks using the rented residences in the mall.

Sky deck holi party review 21st March 2019. Worst party, total mismanagement, no respect for women. They ruined almost everyone's holi. They overbooked, the place was so crowded that it took us 1 hour to just reach the ground floor lift. Imagine 100s of people squeezing in a small place..think abt girls/women. It was a horror. At the skydeck there was not a place to even stand forget abt sitting.

You have to compulsory buy their food coupons. And the price was so high that even after spending 1000s of rs we were hungry and thirsty. Buying food n drinks was like a war. And it was of worst quality you can imagine.

It was so crowded that many people didn't even go to the dance area. And if you say anything to bouncers to help they said manage on ur own. Almost all the bouncers were at ground floor forcing people to buy coupons. But when it came to women's safety they were blindfolded.

Over all a pathetic experience. Almost everyone were shouting at the management for overbooking. But obviously they didn't listen anything. Their greediness ruined our festival. They just wanted money money n money. A place were women's safety is on the line that place...
