This was the third time I went here. Ordered chicken tikka masala which was instantly my favourite the first time I tried it, dhaba mutton and mutton seekh kebabs.
Chicken tikka masala was very disappointing this time. I let the server know about this as well and he very generously offered to remake and replace the dish. But again it wasn’t upto the mark. Upon asking the server whether the mutton here served is goat meat or sheep, he told us it is goat. But it didn’t taste like it and there was a weird smell to it as well. When I reconfirmed whether it is actually goat, he said the same thing so I dropped the argument but there was a weird taste to it. Wouldn’t recommend. The mutton seekh kebab also wasn’t good at all. It tasted more like frozen ones cooked.
Their Chicken tikka masala was one of the best in town but I hope they restore the same taste back. Murg Amritsari is also one of the best dishes they have. One suggestion would be to maybe use tandoori or tikka pieces with murg Amritsari. It would truly make it so much better rather than boiled chicken.
REPLY TO THE LAST MESSAGE - since i can't reply on a review
Hi. This review is in no way meant to defame you but give an honest feedback as a customer who loves the food that you serve.
Like i mentioned earlier, we let the server know what was lacking in the Chicken tikka masala and he very generously offered to change it for us and remake the dish. Had we seen you on the floor, we would have definitely taken this up with you. But since you were not there, we took this problem with the next person of contact which was our server. They could have redirected us to you if you were approachable at the moment. we understand that Dhaba mutton is a specialty here and upon reading and going through so many reviews about it we decided to order. Perhaps the meat here in Bangalore taste a little different which undermined the whole dish. Also, like you said, we never finished both the dishes, so for you to dismiss this review and claim it incorrect without even knowing which table we were at or whether we finished the entire plate or not is wrong and hurtful. about the kebabs also we highlighted the issues to our server. Again, had we seen you in the 1hour and 45minutes time period that we were there for, we would have taken it up with you. me giving out 1 star reviews to punjabi restaurants around are my genuine reviews and you questioning the geuiness of these reviews doesnt help. I as a person is not someone who goes around and gives 1 star reviews or 5 star reviews just for fun. There were clear issues highlighted in the same and where it could have been improved. my intent was never to defame or put out wrong claims. Honestly, there weren’t even claims in the first place. I wish you would have taken these reviews as constructively as I intended them to be and i would have loved to change my reviews from 1 to 5 stars. But alas, that isnt going to happen because of the lack of appreciation and failure to understand and genuinity of the above statements. Would have loved to come again and meet you in person and talk about this. Anyways, thank you for taking out your time and replying to this. I wish you and your partner my very best for your business. I hope that it grows 10 folds and you keep serving authentic punjabi food to all of us who love it and can’t find it...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant after reading a few reviews. Even though l was not hungry much, I decided to try their Gobi parantha. Let me break it down for you:
Size and Portion: The Gobi parantha was massive! One serving is definitely enough to fill you up.
Texture and Crunchiness: The texture of the parantha was delightful—crispy and satisfying. I appreciated the effort put into achieving that perfect crunch.
Unexpected Flavor: However, there was a lingering sour taste that puzzled me. It felt as if the dough had fermented a bit too much. Perhaps it had been sitting near the stove for too long during preparation.
Overall Impression: Despite the sour note, I believe this place is worth exploring further. I’m curious to try their other dishes over time.
Remember, taste preferences can vary, so give it a shot and see what you think! 😊🍽️
Update from the second visit: On my second visit, I ordered the aloo pyaz parantha, and it was perfect in taste, crunchiness, and size. The host kindly replaced the curd with tea upon my request, which was a nice touch, though the tea could be given a pass. Overall, a delightful experience!
Next few visits (Sep 24) : I tried murthal parantha and kadhi chawal. Both are good. The kadi was very authentic in taste and I would come again to have it.
Rajmah Chawal Review:
Rice Quantity: Noticeably less compared to the Kadi Chawal serving.
Curd Portion: Small but sufficient, adding a nice balance to the meal.
Rajmah: Tasty and fresh, though not quite up to the mark of what you might get elsewhere.
Chana Chawal Review:
Chana: The worst among all the dishes tried here. Extremely spicy and full of chili, making it feel like you’re on fire.
Service: When informed about the spiciness, the waiter seemed puzzled. Eventually, he brought a piece of lemon, suggesting to add it to the chana to help reduce the...

Positive Food is good and different from other places offering Punjabi food. It has its own distinct taste and feels fresh. Parathas are cooked in Tandoor and not on Tawa, jumbo size and one paratha is good enough for 2 light-eaters. Delicious and must-have. Amritsari stuffed Kulchas - must have
Negative Parking can be an issue Place is fairly small, be prepared for upwards of 20 mins of waiting and upwards of 30 mins if you are in a big group. Service is painfully slow on both my visits. Took 40 mins to get the food, even papad and onions. So from the time of reaching the place, it can easily take 60-70 mins to get the food. Too long. 5.They do not have any advance bookings and neither have any offers on any of the apps. For the overall experience, their gravies are priced on the higher side. Upwards of 299 for Dal Makhni and Veg-gravies starts at 329. Almost none starters - only paneer tikka and soya chaap. Main-course options are very less for Veg. Hope they add more Aloo related veg subzies. Punjabi joints can have excellent Aloo-Gobhi, if done well. On both counts, Ac was not there, unable to recall whether AC is there but not operational or ACs itself are not there.
Suggestion - They need to hire a professional manager to take care of tables more efficiently. Give onions and chutney 10 mins after the table is occupied, this will make waiting time for food less painful. If papad is ordered, give it as quickly as possible.
Put things like Salt, empty glasses, spoons by default on each Table. At present, the basics are missing and one needs to keep asking.
Hope they really get their basics right very soon.
P.S. - One more thing, on both counts I felt little stomach discomfort next day, this might be subjective and cant say it reflects the food...
