Read moreWas here (JP Nagar Bangalore)with my family and was seated at the corner place. For our shocker it was 1st the cockroache and then a rat.
Didn't say anything initially when we saw the Roache, thought it was one of the bad day's & continued eating. Then people next to our table pointed out the rat just behind us.
When we confronted the staff, they had all audacity to laugh it out & say that the rat will not come in and they cannot change the seating place since they are full.
Later my sister had to go find the manager (who was earlier a Jr. employee) requested us to wait for 5 mins & changed our places. On the other hand our nearby tables who were eating, quickly finished they're food and didn't go for next course & so did we since the order was already on the table & didn't wanted to waste food but had to leave without having a full course meal.
Google doesn't support videos otherwise I have good footage of this mess.
BTW I'm a regular customer here since their inception days & would gave referred 100s of my known people, celebrated many events therefore people who know me knows this place very well. But had stopped coming here bcoz the staff had grown bad attitude & arrogant. But used to order sitting back home. Later I also heard the rats complaints from my other friends who I've known or had been here after my recommendation. But thought something would have changed after many years and stepped in since the food here is something one craves for.. No doubt about it.
Now realised these guys will never change. Team Chulha Chuki, there is no point in demonstrating the awards, Food policy board, few positive reviews and smiling pictures of your customers... when you cannot even apologise for your mistakes and take care of your loyal customers. Whereas bigger brands to new commer restaurants strive hard to make sure the place is tidy and clean to retain their customers and shell out enough money especially on the hygiene.
Thanks for spoiling my day...
Read moreAs soon as I reached, the first thing that I ordered was their Kulhad Lassi (9.5/10) and boy was I mesmerised. It was one of the better ones that I've ever had, and that coming from a North Indian (i.e. me) is a big thing. It was thick, creamy, had a tinge of elaichi flavour and appropriately sweet. Me and my friend both went shut for the 2 minutes we took to finish this lassi as we just couldn't think about anything else. Next we ordered the Malai Kebab (8.5/10) which was again very good. It was slightly on the sweeter side but cooked to perfection. The pieces were succulent and went very well with the mint chutney and onions they gave alongside.
Coming to the main course, we ordered a Chicken Butter Masala (8.5/10), Garlic Naan (8/10), Methi Kulcha (7/10) and Tandoori Roti (8/10). All the breads were quite good and went very well with the gravy. The roti unlike many places here, was made out of wholewheat flour which was really good. The garlic naan had a decent amount of garlic, and it gave a really good flavour to it. My mouth still waters while thinking about the wonderful flavours the garlic gave when dunked into the gravy.
We were quite full by now and I really wanted to try another glass of that lassi, but alas I couldn't. However, I am going to visit this place again very soon, not just for their lassi, but for the tons of other items there which I couldn't try last time. I would recommend this to all...
