Read moreI visited Chutney Chunk on Museum Road in June 2025 along with my wife, my 13-year-old son, and my 6-year-old daughter. Around 6–7 years ago, I had visited this same restaurant and the food was truly enjoyable back then. But unfortunately, this time the experience was completely disappointing. The overall quality of the food was not good, it lacked taste, freshness, and the uniqueness that used to make it special. There were very few varieties available, especially when compared to the Chutney Chunk branch in Jayanagar, which still offers a much better range and quality.
One of the most disappointing parts of the visit was the dessert. There was a small chocolate item called Chocolate Mountain in the dessert section, but the chocolate on it tasted like wax. It didn’t melt in the mouth and was very chewy, almost like bubble gum. It was very unpleasant to eat and did not feel like a proper dessert at all. The quality of desserts was really horrible.
We went as a family, and while my 13-year-old son tasted all the available dishes, my 6-year-old daughter didn’t eat any of the main food items. She just had two small cupcakes and three scoops of ice cream. Despite this, we were charged more than ₹600 just for her, which felt completely unfair. It’s not about the money itself—I'm always ready to pay for the right food and service—but what my daughter consumed was very minimal, and the charge for that is not justified at all. It feels like the billing was not honest, and I strongly believe the restaurant should review this and refund the extra charge. What she ate could have been easily valued much lower.
The only good part of the entire experience was the service provided by one of the bearers, Sanam Chhetri. He was extremely polite, helpful, and made sure we were comfortable throughout. His professional and friendly behavior really stood out and was the only highlight of the visit.
Overall, this visit was a huge letdown. Poor food quality, limited variety, terrible desserts, and unfair billing made it a very...
