I recently visited Clove, Jayanagar with our team for a buffet lunch, and unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of expectations.
To begin with, the quality and taste of the food were quite disappointing. The flavours were not up to the mark, and some dishes lacked the basic essence weâd normally expectâfor instance, the noodles didnât carry the typical Chinese taste and felt quite bland.
An important aspect of buffet service is presentation and placement. It would greatly improve the experience if vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes were arranged separately, as mixing them can be off-putting for vegetarians and limits the appeal of the spread.
Another concern was the lack of staff presence. There was no floating staff attending to tables or proactively assisting guests, which meant we had to call for help each time we needed something. This took away from the ease and flow expected during a buffet experience.
Many dishes were not refilled on timeâsalads especially were left empty and dry-looking, and some of the starters didnât appear fresh or visually appealing. While I cannot comment on the non-veg dishes personally as I am vegetarian, I did notice a general lack of attentiveness towards replenishing items or enhancing the display. Also, there was no welcome drink that was served or part of the menu. I think the menu needs improvisation.
Overall, this visit did not meet our expectations for a team outing. I truly hope the management takes this feedback constructively and works on improving the taste, presentation, and service quality. Would love to see a positive change and hopefully have a much better...

Veg Stew : 3/5 .. taste was good, however the let down was usage of Corn Starch instead of Coconut Milk.. makes the grace thicker and taste differs from authentic dish..! Chilli Garlic Noodles : 5/5... amazingly done.. thin rice noodles, perfectly spiced, cooked and presented... Green Thai Curry: 4/5 ... perfect spices, authentic.. would have loved a little more thicker Gravy.. Rice was well done , can use Chopsticks also to eat, that nicely done..    Read moreToo much of a place to have dinner or lunch at. Justification..... in giving such a good review I will say "they deserve it". This is such a place where you have to rate them on grounds of hospitality, service, food quality, food quantity and many more small yet important things. Whenever you are about to walk in through the door the staffs and the place itself gives you that "we-were-waiting-for-you" feeling, till you reach your table and start having some mouth watering preparations. The service is worth something... other restaurants should see and learn that "up-to-the-mark" vibe which they send. The decor of the place is also quite soothing. While you wait for your food to reach the table one can also admire the beautifully arranged bar cabinette, where all are arranged according to their "size and strength". Now coming to food... I will say food out here is at its best. It was my first time, not knowing how the food will be I just ordered for Chicken Rara side dish and butter kulcha but ended up having lot more (I guess that more or less defines it). The chicken is really well marinated and cooked and kulcha and naan were not like prepared "ages ago and left to dry and harden" The quantity out here is not at all bad, I will say two people can really share from one such side dish. Regarding expenses I will say it is more or less affordable if you take all the things into consideration like the food quality and quantity, the behaviour of the staffs and mostly the prompt service.... you will fimd it worth it. Word to the management "You are at your best, all ends met...........
