Dhaba 1986 in Indiranagar is a culinary delight that beautifully blends traditional Indian flavors with a contemporary twist. The ambiance is rustic yet chic, reminiscent of a classic Punjabi dhaba with a modern touch.

Starters: CRISPY RUMALI - An absolute must-try! The crispy rumali is perfectly complemented by sweetened yogurt, tamarind chutney, and a fresh mix of chopped onion and tomato. The blend of Indian spices elevates this dish, making it a fantastic start to your meal. SAMOSA CHAAT - The mini peas samosa chaat with Mumbai masala ragda is a flavorful explosion. Each bite is a journey through the streets of Mumbai, with the perfect balance of spicy, tangy, and savory notes. TANDOORI ALOO GOBHI - The tandoori aloo filled with cauliflower and nuts, paired with a cauliflower dip, is a unique and delicious twist on a classic dish. The smokiness of the tandoor and the nutty filling make it a standout. PANEER TIKKA SHASHLIK - This dish features succulent paneer tikka shashlik served with crispy corn and a tangy anar dana dip. The paneer is perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection, making it a delight for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. MUTTON CUTLETS - The shallow-fried mutton cutlets with cumin-flavored baby potatoes are a hearty and satisfying choice. The cutlets are crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a wonderful blend of spices. KASUNDI FISH TIKKA - The kasundi fish tikka is another highlight. The lemon butter and mustard emulsion add a rich, tangy flavor that pairs beautifully with the tender, marinated fish. AMRITSARI SHRIMP WITH DILL RAITA - The marinated deep-fried shrimp served with a raw mango salad and fresh dill raita is a refreshing and delicious option. The dill raita adds a cool, creamy contrast to the spicy shrimp.

Overall Experience: Dhaba 1986 delivers an exceptional dining experience with its innovative take on traditional Indian dishes. The service is prompt, and the staff are courteous and knowledgeable. Whether you're a fan of classic Indian flavors or looking to try something new, this place has something to offer. Highly...

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, my recent experience was quite disappointing.

We had booked a table via Zomato for 9:00 PM on a weekend and reached the restaurant right on time. Despite this, we were made to wait for over 30 minutes to be seated. Considering it was a weekend, I was willing to be patient, but even after getting the table, it took another 30 minutes for the food to arrive and not even a single complimentary bread or chips was offered during this long wait.

We had ordered the non-veg platter, and while the food itself was decent in taste, the service and overall experience overshadowed it. The worst part came when we asked to parcel the leftover kebabs. To our shock, after reaching home, we found that 1 out of the 4 seekh kebabs was missing. This kind of cheap and careless behaviour is simply unacceptable. If we’re paying a premium, the least expected is honesty and proper service. To top it all off, the bill included an optional 5% charge labeled as "staff welfare fund". While it’s optional and I respect the intent, the experience did not justify such a charge — especially when the staff seemed overwhelmed and service was far from welcoming.

In summary:

Good food, but not exceptional.

Poor service, long waiting time despite reservation.

Unacceptable lapse with the missing kebab in the parcel.

Misleading charges added to the bill.

With so many great restaurants around, I honestly don’t see myself returning or recommending this place until serious improvements are made in service ethics and...

Last weekend we went for dinner at Dhaba 1986 as I had a massive kulcha craving. The cons outweighs the pros to be honest. The service was super slow and no coordination between the servers. There was a waiting for the table. On asking for a glass of water we were told to wait a moment. The moment came when we had to ask again another person after waiting for 15 mins! The food is no doubt tasty but is it worth the price they charge? No, definitely no. The galouti kebab comes in a very chewy paratha base. The kebab is delicious though. The onions soaked in vinegar is a complete disappointment. It has no pickled taste whatsoever. Felt it was covered in beetroot water to get the colour. The garlic naan was on the thinner side but made well. The kulcha was stuffed well. Coming to the most disappointing part: Butter chicken. 4 small boneless chicken lost in thick gravy. Charging Rs 549 for this dish is no way justified! We had to eat the breads with the gravy mostly. From the picture you can see that the chicken pieces are not visible. That is because the small pieces drowned on the weight of the gravy. Again reiterating that food was good. But then either the prices should be reworked or the quantity. Complimentary onion rings were given. Paying Rs 1462 for this meal was a huge disappointment. P.S:- Attaching the bill and not editing the pictures with...
