Dindigul Thalappakatti is a popular South Indian restaurant chain that is known for its biryani. I recently visited the restaurant in Bangalore, and I was overall impressed with my experience. The restaurant has a nice sitting area, with clean carpeting and well-behaved staff. The menu is decent, with a variety of South Indian dishes to choose from. I ordered the chicken and mutton gravy with dosa and parathas, and I was happy with the taste and quality of the food. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced. I would definitely recommend Dindigul Thalappakatti to anyone looking for a good South Indian meal. The prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly. I would also like to try their biryani on my next visit. Here are some pros and cons of Dindigul Thalappakatti Biriyani Restaurant: Pros: Good food Fresh ingredients Friendly service Reasonable prices Offers and discounts Cons: Can be crowded on weekends Some dishes can be spicy Not the most luxurious setting Overall, I would recommend Dindigul Thalappakatti Biriyani Restaurant to anyone looking for a good South Indian meal. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely come back again. Here are some tips for visiting Dindigul Thalappakatti Biriyani Restaurant: Go during the week if you can, to avoid the crowds. Order the biryani! It is the restaurant's signature dish, and it is definitely worth trying. If you are not a fan of spicy food, be sure to ask for your dishes to be made mild. Enjoy the atmosphere! The restaurant is a bit noisy, but it is also a lot of fun.

Visited Dindigul Thalappakatti for a weekday dinner, and thankfully, it was a peaceful time with no rush — we got seated right away. The restaurant is located on the first floor and offers a pleasant ambience suitable for both families and friends. The space is quite large and accommodating, which adds to the comfort. What We Ordered: - Peri Peri Red Chicken: It was good, but honestly, it lacked the peri peri punch. Expected a spicier kick. - Chicken Karandi Omelet: This one was disappointing — not worth the price at all. - Kuchi Mutton (Special Dish): Tasted good with those ribs, but at the price charged, the portion felt too small — just 3 pieces with very little flesh. - Thalappakatti Naidu Mutton Biryani: The aroma and spices were spot on, giving that authentic feel. The taste was good... until my last bite, where I found a stone in it — which completely ruined the meal experience. Facilities & Ambience: - They have an ample underground parking space, which is a plus. - However, the only way up to the restaurant is via stairs — a point to consider if you’re bringing along elderly family members. Pricing & Value: - Honestly, some dishes felt overpriced for the portion size and quality. - They seriously need to rethink the pricing to make it more customer-friendly and justify repeat visits or recommendations. Verdict: It’s a mixed bag for me. While the place is nice and some dishes hit the mark, the high prices and quality slips like finding a stone in the biryani make it hard to give a full thumbs-up. If they work on better quality checks and more reasonable pricing, this could easily be a go-to spot.

Visited the Indiranagar outlet of this restaurant for lunch on a weekday. Having heard a lot of it's food I was really pumped to try out their delicacies. Coming to the location first, the restaurant is located bang on the main road thus super easy to locate. They staff present were maintaining all the safety protocols and apart from wearing masks, gloves, taking temp checks and having sanitizers at entrance they had also reduced seating arrangement keeping in mind of the social distancing which is appreciable. Coming to the food: I tried the mutton paya soup which was served piping hot. The soup was not too thick but had the perfect spice in it especially pepper along with chunks of mutton which was delicious. The kuchi Mutton which is a starter which is basically well cooked mutton in a lot of spices. The flavours came through with every bite I took. Lastly I ordered the famous mutton biryani. The biryani rice was flavourful and came with chunks of meat and boiled egg. The combination of the three was delicious. Overall the experience was great. Looking forward to visit again soon!

Dress appropriately: Depending on the restaurant, there may be a dress code or an expectation of certain attire. Make sure you're dressed appropriately for the occasion.

Try new things: When you're at the restaurant, be adventurous and try new dishes that you may not have had before. This can be a great way to expand your culinary horizons and discover new flavors.

Enjoy the ambiance: Many restaurants put a lot of effort into creating a particular atmosphere or ambiance. Take the time to appreciate the decor, lighting, and music, and allow yourself to fully immerse in the experience.
