Nanav Cafe — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Tucked away in a bylane of Indiranagar, this quaint little café is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. The café is located on the 1st floor of a two-storeyed building, the ground floor being occupied by an organic/natural store. The café has indoor and outdoor seating, and the ambience is cozy, bright, and airy. The décor is minimalistic, and the indoor seating area has large open grill-less windows letting in a lot of light and natural ventilation, obviating the need for artificial lighting and ventilation during the day. But the best part about this place is its food. The food is excellent, and the portions commensurate with the reasonable pricing. My thoughts on the food follow…. Watermelon and Orange juice – I started off with these two juices. They were freshly squeezed with no added sugar retaining all the flavors and goodness of the fruits. Broccoli and Roasted Almond soup – One of the best I’ve had in quite some time. The soup was thick with little broccoli florets and pieces of almond. Accompanied by toasted bread. A perfect way to whet your appetite. Spinach, Corn, and Mushroom Omelette – A beautiful combination of 3 eggs, and said veggies, cooked to perfection. Served with toasted bread, butter, and grilled veggies like zucchini, broccoli, etc. Mmmm, Delicious!! Crispy Chilly Mushroom – Crispy battered and fried mushrooms in a chilly sauce. Delectable. Veg Sizzler – A perfect combination of paneer, mashed potatoes, French fries, herbed rice, and grilled veggies. Everything was cooked to perfection, and quite filling too. Truly sizzling. Veg Hakka Noodles and Veg Manchurian – The hakka noodles were excellent, with a generous dose of veggies, and very little oil. The Manchurian was not the usual. It was more of an authentic Chinese style veggies in a gravy. I did relish it but would have preferred the usual ball Manchurian. To round off this huge meal, I ended up ordering the sizzling brownie with icecream for dessert. And I wasn’t disappointed. Huge portion and Lip-smacking. The staff was very courteous, and even though the wait times were a bit long owing to the fresh preparations, the experience was well worth the wait. Overall, a truly satisfying experience. Try it, and your stomach and your wallet will thank you!! PS: Do not forget to visit their store on the ground floor selling organic stuff and sustainable products from different parts...

This café is a must visit for it’s amazing food and cozy ambience. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced. It doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket but leaves you totally satiated. I loved the ambience as well which is perfect for a romantic date or even a nice meal with friends or family.

What did I try:

Watermelon Juice and Orange Juice – Both these were very refreshing and freshly prepared. There was no added sugar either. Broccoli and Roasted Almond Soup – A nice thick delicious soup which had the goodness of broccoli and almonds. It comes with bread. Spinach, Corn and Mushroom Omelette – The best omelette I have had to date . It was perfectly cooked. I was able to cut it smoothly. It is served with bread, butter and roasted veggies. Crispy Chilly Mushroom – Another must have from their menu. This one is so well prepared and leaves your craving more Veg Sizzler – Another winner ; this sizzler was cooked to perfection with paneer, mashed potatoes, French fries, herbed rice and roasted veggies. Every bite was a delight. Veg Hakka Noodles and Veg Manchurian – Noodles were so light and loaded with veggies with not much trace of oil. They were simple perfect. The Manchurian was not the usual veg ball Manchurian but boiled veggies in a Manchurian gravy. A combo you must try. Sizzling brownie with ice cream – Most of the places never get this right and end up burning the brownie but hats off to the Chef at Nanav for giving us the best brownie and icecream combo. It was droolworthy.

Food is prepared fresh and hence a bit of wait time but totally worth the wait. The staff is very courteous too.

We recently visited Nanav Store & Cafe that is situated in Indiranagar, just a few steps away from 100ft road. The Ambience of the cafe was very nice and a cool place to hang out with friends.

Firstly we ordered Spanish Omelette and a cappuccino. Omelette was really amazing, it had fried onion, potato, few olives and Broccoli which proved to be a perfect embedding in Omelette. Then we tried Penne Alfredo Veg, it was a creamy pasta loaded with mushrooms and broccoli which were cooked to the perfection. After that we had veg sizzlers and Orange Juice. Sizzlers were really sizzling and were a blend of several dishes with rice base. I liked mashed potatoes the most. We also ordered Veggie Pizza and brownie frappe. That pizza was overloaded with cheese and certainly I loved it. To conclude the meal we ordered Sizzling brownie with ice cream and was so tempting. It was served perfectly.

The hospitality is certainly top notch and service was good. I would love to visit this...
