Last night I visited Flo, a well-known night club on Church Street, with three of my friends. Since we were a group of four, we made a reservation in advance. We arrived early, so we didn’t have to pay any cover charges, which apparently apply later in the evening irrespective of the gender. Everything started off well—we ordered food and drinks, and after a while, we headed to the dance floor to enjoy the music.

While we were dancing, a waiter approached us, asking us to settle the bill if we weren’t planning to order anything else. He mentioned that there was a long waiting queue and the table needed to be cleared. The music was loud, so we returned to our table to ask him to repeat what he said. He reiterated that since there was a crowd waiting, we needed to clear the table by paying the bill, even though we hadn’t finished our food or drinks.

This left us shocked and confused. How could they ask us to vacate our table while we were still dining? When we questioned this, the manager stepped in and explained that some guests leave without paying, so they prefer to clear bills early. He then asked us whether we had paid the cover charges, claiming that tables are only reserved for those who do. According to him, prior reservations only guarantee entry to the dance floor. When we asked why this wasn’t communicated earlier, he gave vague and unsatisfactory explanations.

What made matters worse was when the manager openly asked the waiter, in front of us, "How much is the bill?"—as though trying to assess if the situation was worth addressing based on the amount. This behavior was unprofessional and appalling. Not to forget the other glitches like the drinks being super expensive (double the amt of which you get at other places), Zomato or any other diners card / discount not applicable in the inside sitting areas and a rude waiter!

In all my years of dining out, I’ve never encountered a policy where guests are forced to clear their tables due to crowd overflow, especially when they haven’t even finished their meal. For a city like Bangalore, known for its vibrant restaurants and pubs, this level of service is unacceptable and leaves a lot...

Exorbitantly priced for the quantity and quality they serve. Quality just about average to bad.

Crown for WORST DISH I have ever tried goes to trio hummus with pita. Out of 3 type of hummus only one was palatable, other two were SMELLING OF OLD OIL and we had only 4 small pieces of pita bread (no falafel) as accompaniments. So, in nutshell it was only a single palatable portion of hummus with negligible accompaniments, for which we paid exorbitantly. (Priced Rs. 408.25)

Andhra chilly paneer : It was suppose to be an OK dish but excess salt ruined this. (Priced Rs. 488.75)

Crispy veg slider : Loved their creativity and miniature art, I bet you cannot find smaller buns anywhere in the world. 4 pieces together were less then half Mac Aloo tikki burger in quantity, with no taste to be proud of. No sauce/Mayo/salad served along, only 4 miniature size single bite sliders, Just plain cheating.(Priced Rs. 431.25)

Soya Chaap ghee roast : This was a saving grace, well cooked and NICE preparation 👏(Priced Rs. 454.25)

In main course the taste was averall ABOVE AVERAGE, but they served it good 35 minutes after we were done with starters, that too after multiple reminders. No onions/lemons/salt/pepper. We had to ask multiple times even to get the empty glasses on the table.

Paneer Tikka Masala was good in taste but came with only 3-4 very thin pieces of Paneer. We had to dig deep in the small portion of gravy to find them. Gravy was good in taste. (Priced Rs. 523.25)

Dal Makhani (Priced Rs. 511.75) was overall good in taste and quantity.

Naans and roti were average and served mildly warm.

Beverages were ok and as usual were loaded with sugar. Virgin colada was good with less sugar. Bottled Beer higly overpriced (Priced Rs. 550.00 for 330 ml)

Overall, one of the worst dining experience with non existent service.

GO AT YOUR OWN RISK. Even with huge promotion they are running, you end up paying heavy for bad food and service.NOT WORTH IT, WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORTS. Simple strategy : Reduce the portion size to half, increase the price to double and run big promotion. All fine, but they have lost on quality...

Well, my first visit to this place is a disaster. It is the band performance, which is hosted here, led me to this venue and we couldn't see the performance, because of poor management.

Hidden charges are not communicated on the booking site and these charges are not fair. 2K/person is non sense. They say the cover charges are redeemable but I'm not/least interested in your food/beverages. So, why should I pay? They are taking my interest as their opportunity. I understand that these cover charges are their business but high cover charges is non sense. After some people had great arguments with the bouncer and manager, they reduced the cover charge to 500 per person at 930PM(Post 90 minutes of the show start). Non sense again! One good thing is, that in charge guy had given us the refund of only ticket price, after a long resistance from people to get in. At least this was a bit satisfying. Less space inside and too many tickets sold - This is a management problem. When asked, staff told that this venue is not a theater to allocate seats to everyone! Agreed, but this is not a super huge venue to let thousand people in! Suggestions to management: Please communicate all your hidden charges before booking Please open those many bookings which you can handle and the user is comfortable. If this is increasing the ticket price, let it. Only those who can afford will come. So much better than coming there from long distances and getting disappointed Crowd management people at the entry are good. They are patient enough but they should never talk non-sense to customers and raise their voice. You must have lost pretty loyal customers yesterday Crowd management people are clever. Whoever raises their voice with valid points, they will take them in and talk personally. Yesterday the crowd was good, they disagreed these personal talks. Don't think the rest of the crowd don't understand this. Please play fair Please communicate why the delay to the outside crowd

My 3 rating is for the refund only!...

So guys, today I checked out this really cool spot right opposite MG Road metro, Church Street exit – super easy to find, you literally step out and it’s right there. Honestly, this is such a nice place to hang out with your friends, colleagues, or even family – whether it’s for a lazy lunch or an evening chill session. We went in for lunch, and to my surprise, it wasn’t crowded at all. That’s actually a win if you like a peaceful dining experience. But I can totally imagine this place coming alive post 1 PM or especially in the evenings with more people, buzzing energy, and that lively vibe. Now, the food! We ordered naan with paneer butter masala, and oh man – the naan was soft, warm, and just the right amount of fluffy. You know that slight crisp on the edges? Perfect. And the paneer butter masala – creamy, buttery, with that rich tomato base. The paneer cubes were fresh and soft, like they almost melt as you bite in. Comfort food goals right there! Next time, I’m definitely coming back in the evening because I really want to try their non-veg dishes. Honestly, this feels like the kind of place where you shouldn’t stick to just one item – you’ve got to explore the menu. Service? Super smooth. The staff were friendly and attentive but not hovering around too much, which I loved. Ambience is cozy, nice lighting, good spacing between tables – so even when it gets busier, you won’t feel cramped. The only little pinch is that it’s slightly on the expensive side, but given the location and overall experience, I’d say it’s fair. So yeah, for me, this place is a solid 4 out of 5. Great food, lovely vibe, and unbeatable accessibility. If you’re around MG Road or Church Street, definitely worth checking out – whether for a quick lunch or a full-on dinner plan with friends.
