Blue Frog already has a big name in primary places for good music and live performances. Going on with the competitive food destinations all around Bangalore, they have left no stone unturned in giving a new taste for our taste buds with burning no hole in the pocket. A new menu has been launched which covers dishes in all cuisines considering the staples.
Ambience Their ambience has always been top notch. With indoor as well as outdoor seating available with live stage and perfect lighting on it.
Cocktails Started with new cocktails on the menu,
🍸Hibiscus Martini A blend of hibiscus extract and triple sec, this strong drink can be an amazing combination with mellow food.
🍸Espresso Martini- recommended Combining spiced vodka with espresso is so appealing and the taste is divine. A perfect with the food.
🍹Green-Morgan Mojito - recommended An amalgamation of various flavours sweet, spice and sour. A strong drink of spiced rum, lime, jalapenos, and apples.
Food With the introduction of the new menu with affordable prices, the menu feels all balanced in covering various cuisines and tastes.
⏺Thai Spiced Chicken Tikka - recommended We started our course with this amazing chicken tikka well cooked and marinated into spices. Served with beetroot sauce and a side salad. A must try.
⏺Mixed Sprouts and Peanut Falafel - recommended A interesting take on the basic hummus and falafel dishes. Rather than chickpea, they went with sprouts and peanut falafel. The presentation is kept easy and served like small bites with hummus, falafel and red cauliflower sauce on top.
⏺Achari Fish Tikka - recommended One of the key points of fish dishes should be fresh fish. Fish marinated well and just melted in mouth.
⏺Mutton 3 Cheese Kebab Mutton kebabs stuffed with 3 cheese and served with mayonnaise sauce and orange sides. The dish lacked the kick.
⏺Chicken JalFrezi Naanza A commoner pizza served on naan bread. The base felt a little more chewy than I preferred.
⏺Falafel Sandwich An interesting dish with falafel and veggies served inside sandwich bread. Served with crispy fries, dip and side salad. The fires are well cooked but the sandwich overall taste was a little dry.
In the main course = We went for Grilled Fish, which was a little letdown. It was served on bed of fried baby potatoes and grilled veggies. The Herb Marinated Lamb Chops were well done and served with creamy mash potatoes and veggies.
The favourite of the lot was Chicken Tikka Masala served with rice and pita bread. The gravy cooked in butter and cream with explosion of taste in mouth. On the other hand Thai Chicken Curry had a lime kick to its gravy and was equally well done with red curry.
Desserts
⏺Lemon Cheesecake- recommended Cheesecake was served with apple slaw and was just done right. No complains
⏺Dates and Caramel Pudding Served with charcoal ice cream on the side, the dessert felt a little undone.
⏺Homemade Rocky Road Icecream - recommended Chunks of moist chocolate brownie with marshmallows and vanilla ice cream. A wholesome taste to your buds.
Music, scrumptious food and good blend of cocktails is always a bliss. The service is prompt and adds to...
Read moreBlue Frog is one of India’s premier destinations for Live Music and EDM performances. So it is imperative that they do cater to fine gastronomy along with their selection of exclusive cocktails and bar specials. This was one of those Wednesdays when I visited the venue with the intention to check out their Food offerings and decided to try a few of their Bar Specials as well. The Espresso Martini was my first preference to moisten my tats buds and paired well with the very succulent Thai Spiced Chicken Tikka and the very uniquely spiced Achari Fish Tikka. The Mutton 3 Cheese Kebab was a knockout and the Tandoori Chicken Tikka Naanza is a square meal in itself when ordered with alcoholic concoctions. The Spicy Falafel and Peanut Sandwich was a flavour explosion in my mouth. For Mains, It was the Grilled Fish which made me very happy with their bed of baby potatoes seasoned and garnished to perfection. The Lamb Chops were grilled just right and the Classic Grilled Chicken was delectable to say the least. The Thai Chicken Curry was a bit of a disappointment; however the Chicken Tikka Masala compensated and the flavours were pretty well-balanced for this Indian favourite. Desserts were quite dramatic in their plating and the Homemade Rocky Road Ice Cream was my ultimate favourite, although the Lemon Cheesecake and the Dates and Caramel Pudding were mention worthy as well. I switched over to the Green Morgan Mojito and finally the Rum Island to go with my progressive dinner courses. The service of the staff was very prompt and the ambience quite extraordinary with soft music playing to our ears directing our attention to the...
Read moreWorst experience ever had in Bangalore. Waiters here are CHEATER! They cheat you! So now here is my story of tonight. We were a group of people having dinner and chilling out. We spent around 8.000 rupees total... but some of us (including me) had to leave before others , so we asked to split the bill since we had to leave. We asked to pay what we ordered and they said it was possible. The waiter then gave me a bill and took my money and then after few minutes they brought us other food saying that those were the dishes we ordered. I mean they cheated us. And it was impossible to explain them since the DON’T UNDERSTAND ENGLISH, and they are scammer and cheater. I mean if I’m saying “I’m leaving and I want to pay what I ate “ how is it possibile that I’m making a new order ? I mean English is English. But what is worst is that they just didn’t let us go, they forced us to pay. I mean cheated and forced to pay to leave the place. I will NEVER go back there and no one else should go in a...
