Halli Mane, Malleshwaram, Bangalore: Honest Review
Parking and Accessibility: Parking is non-existent, and roadside parking is challenging to find. The area is congested, making it difficult to access. It's advisable to use public transport or taxi services.
Reception and Service: The reception experience was disappointing, with staff displaying arrogance and dishonesty. The cashier overcharged and didn't provide proper change. Additionally, the atmosphere at the entrance was unwelcoming, with unnecessary hostility from the staff.
Ambience and Comfort: The ambience on the top floor was mediocre, with poor ventilation and discomfort due to the heat. Fans were not effective, making it unpleasant to dine, especially during the current season.
Food Quality: The menu items varied in quality:
Aam Panna: Not served Mango Rasmalai: 1/10 - Horrible taste, felt like curd mixed with mango pulp Mango Pickle: 5/10 - Felt like ready-made Raw Mango Kosambari: 5/10 - The only edible item in the menu Mix Veg Palya: 3/10 - Bland Mango Gojju: 8/10 - Good Poori: 8/10 - Good and hot Mango Sasive: 8/10 - Good Channa Masala: 5/10 - Bland and not satisfactory Mango Kadubu with Rasa: 5/10 Mango Holige: 3/10 - Not good Mango Halbai: 2/10 - Horrible Masala Dosa: 6/10 - Average Raw Mango Chutney: 6/10 - Average Raw Mango Chitranna: 6/10 Bisibele Bhat: 3/10 Raw Mango Pachidi: 3/10 White Rice: 10/10 - Best Raw Mango Rasam: 5/10 - Felt like lemon rasam, lacked mango flavor Raw Mango Drumstick Sambar: 5/10 - Sambar was given but lacked mango taste and quantity was insufficient Curd: 8/10 Mango Ice Cream: 1/10 - Poor quality, tasted like cheap ice cream
Hospitality and Hygiene: The hospitality was lacking, and the overall cleanliness was satisfactory. However, the high cost of the meal did not justify the quality of service and taste.
Recommendation: Visiting Halli Mane for the mango special lunch is not recommended due to the poor reception, inconsistent food quality, and high cost. Despite the hype, it fails to meet expectations, and online reviews may not accurately reflect the true experience.
Additional Points: Ambience: The ambience on the top floor was mediocre, with poor ventilation and discomfort due to the heat. Cleanliness: The overall cleanliness was satisfactory. Cost: The high cost of the meal did not justify the quality of service and taste.

The moment you step in, the warm and welcoming ambiance instantly sets the tone for a delightful dining experience. It strikes the perfect balance between being lively and comfortable, making it an ideal place for both family outings and casual meet ups with friends.
The food here is nothing short of exceptional. Every dish is prepared with a homely touch, yet it carries the finesse of a well crafted menu. What truly stands out is the consistency no matter how many times I’ve visited, the taste and quality remain top notch. The highlight for me has always been their coffee; it’s easily among the best you’ll find in Malleshwaram. Strong, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, it’s the kind of coffee that makes you want to linger over every sip.
When it comes to traditional delicacies, their obbatu is a must try. Soft, perfectly stuffed, and served fresh, it reflects the essence of authentic Karnataka flavors. Pairing it with their mango rasayana, which is rich, creamy, and full of natural sweetness, makes for an unbeatable combination. These two dishes alone make every visit worthwhile.
Apart from these specialties, the restaurant offers a wide variety of South Indian and North Indian dishes, each prepared with care. The service is courteous and efficient, and the staff always make you feel at home.
In a neighborhood known for its food culture, this place manages to shine brighter with its consistent quality, authentic flavors, and warm hospitality. For anyone who loves good vegetarian food and a great cup of coffee, this restaurant is a true gem. It’s undoubtedly one of my most preferred spots in...
Read moreDelicious Traditional Food at Hallimane – Worth the Price..., I recently visited Hallimane Restaurant with friends, and the experience was quite satisfying. Located in a convenient spot, Hallimane is known for its traditional Karnataka-style food, and it truly lives up to its reputation when it comes to taste. The moment we entered, we were greeted with the aroma of authentic spices and a rustic, homely atmosphere that immediately set the mood for a great meal. The menu offers a wide variety of local dishes—from ragi mudde, akki rotti, and bisibele bath to sweet treats like holige and kesari bath. We ordered a mix of thali and à la carte items, and every dish was rich in flavor and tasted freshly prepared. What really stood out was the uncompromising quality and authenticity of the food. Each bite reminded us of home-cooked meals, and the service was quick and courteous. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, making good recommendations based on our preferences. That said, the prices are slightly on the higher side, especially for a place that focuses on traditional food. While it might not be the most budget-friendly option, I’d say the quality of ingredients and the consistency in taste make it worth the cost. It’s the kind of place where you don’t mind paying a bit more because you know you’re getting genuine flavors and hygienic food.If you're someone who loves exploring regional cuisines and doesn’t mind spending a little extra for a fulfilling meal, Hallimane is definitely worth trying. Go there with family or friends and enjoy the rich culinary heritage of Karnataka served...
