Kund Indian Barbeque in Indiranagar stands out as one of the best spots in Bangalore for authentic North Indian cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on delivering rich, flavorful dishes that truly capture the essence of traditional North Indian food.
During our visit, we sampled a variety of their offerings, and each dish impressed us with its authenticity and taste. The Tandoori Chicken was perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection, with juicy, tender meat and a smoky char that enhanced the flavor. It’s easily one of the best tandoori dishes we’ve had in Bangalore.
We also tried the Thali Combo, which included Malai Chaap, Daal Makhani, and Aloo Sabji. Each element of the thali was delicious, with the Daal Makhani being rich and creamy, and the Malai Chaap offering a delightful, melt in your mouth texture. The Amritsari Kulcha served with traditional white makkhan (butter) was another highlight crispy on the outside and stuffed with flavorful filling, it paired perfectly with the side dishes.
The Peas Pulao and Mix Veg Sabji added a light, flavorful balance to the meal, offering a comforting taste of home cooked North Indian classics. For drinks, the Mango Lassi was refreshing and smooth, with the perfect amount of sweetness. To end the meal on a sweet note, the Gajar ka Halwa was a delightful treat warm, rich, and not overly sweet, with just the right amount of ghee.
The ambiance of Kund Indian Barbeque is welcoming and cozy, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends or family. The service is quick, and the staff is attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.

Read moreFood: we had ordered for paneer butter masala, khaju masala and dal makhani. Following is the feedback:
Paneer Butter Masala: It is prepared to be on the sweeter side, but this was so sweet, it would have put any of sugariest sweets to a stiff competition. In addition, it was prepared using "Tomato Soup" in which Paneer was added as an afterthought - was deadly awful to say the least.
Khaju masala and Dal makhani: again, very sweet, hardly edible.
Kulcha/Roti: no complaints, I can't imagine one of the items as part of a staple diet to be messed up with, perhaps why it was ok.
Staff and Service: We went there around 4 PM in the afternoon; the staff asked for our 1st and last order which we placed as requested. When we did ask why our food is prepared in the manner stated above, we were told it is because the chef/cook was in a hurry; such a blatantly pathetic reply. We have been going to this place since 2003 when it was started and never faced this issue thus far making it even more unpalatable.
In short, do visit at your own risk. Don't expect great food, that concept has long gone it seems and don't expect good service either - we had a rather shabby...
Read moreFirstly, the place is very small..which I thought it's a good thing because the service can be better. But the service is damn slow..not just for me but couple of other tables were also seen with sad faces as their order wasn't getting served at all . I thought it's worth to wait because I felt they may be doing everything fresh instead of keeping stock. Finally when the order arrived I see the quality of food is good, like the rice, naan, mutton and chicken.. but the taste is not at all as expected..it's little bland taste. My taste buds didn't get satisfied at all. They say it's authentic north Indian but other places like chulla chauki ka dhaba,Punjabi rasoi, tandoori taal etc. are much better in terms of taste. Also, they're charging 30/- for kinley water bottle whose mrp is 20/-. Upon asking the person at billing counter, probably he's the owner and chef, was telling that all restaurants charge like that. This is really pathetic! I'll not recommend this to anyone at all. I feel they don't care about customers. And I see they give more priority to Zomato/swiggy orders than customers sitting there. And I think there's no washroom service...
