Mathsya Darshini — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Last Friday visited this place on recommendation of friend!! Seriously don't understand who are these people giving 4* to this place!! Either they came from different planet or never tasted fish before!!! To order the food you have to stand in q then to take food again a q!! After getting the plates its again nd wait and watch game as its over congested and mis managed dinning hall where nothing is proper!!! These things can still be accepted if the food is tasty but that's the most horrible part here!! Fish Biryani costs 180 in which they give half a bowl quantity rice with fish which has bones and taste yuck!! Would love to meet the chef who calls that Biryani!! We didn't gave hope and thought May be we order wrong thing so we went for different iteams hoping for a miracle !! So we ordered fish kabab and different fish fry and none where fresh nor had the taste!! No proper marination nor the proper spices!! It was same bland taste !! Everything felt cooked in hurry just for namesake!!! The bright light in that bluish aquarium interior was the butter milk!!! If only I can murder one person and get away then for sure the friend of mine who recommended this place will be that!!! How can people give 4 or 5 star to a place which charges so hefty still does not provide basic necessary things a restaurant...

Took refuge in this restaurant during an unexpected heavy downpour. It's a seafood restaurant, in the periphery of cubbon park. It's a self service restaurant.

One has to choose from a menu displayed near the cash counter, and get a token for what one intends to eat. The standard meal has ragi mudde or chapati, rice, fish curry, rasam and buttermilk. This in itself is a tasty and filling meal. The fish curry was of mackerel. I got a plate of fried lady fish (Kane) on the side. Food was fresh and tasty. Portions are good. Extra mudde, rice etc can be ordered.

Don't think there's any option for vegetarians. Cleanliness is good. Saw tables being cleaned without any delay.

Only drawback is that they do not accept UPI payments. It's cash or card.

Over hyped place . This place is stinking and works like a rotten government department. You have to wait for long time for the counter people to come and to take your order . Even when they come , they will not be knowing which dishes are ready. They run frequently out of the counter , to check in the kitchen about dish availability , instead of taking orders , leaving you waiting in the que . Carry enough cash, because the cards do seem to work rarely there . Not worth traveling too far to get to this place , as there are several other good restaurants in Bangalore , which serve good sea food Anyway , the department that runs this eating place will not try to improve the place , whatever may be the customer...
