Absolutely Disgraceful – A Health Hazard disguised as a Hotel and Restaurant I honestly cannot overstate how shockingly bad the food in this restaurant is. I’ve traveled extensively and dined in places ranging from street food stalls to fine dining establishments, and never have I encountered such an appalling combination of bad food, unhygienic conditions, and sheer management incompetence — all under the roof of what is supposed to be a professionally run hotel and restaurant. Am not proud to say that i am a member, as am being served the same unhygienic food in the restaurant even though we are regulars. Multiple complaints to the F&B / Mangers/ GMs and head of Woodrose also has absolutely no effect. Just the good old ignorance from all the managers and show runners has led to the worst food quality and restaurant in this Hotel/Club. Let’s start with the food — if you can even call it that. Every single dish we ordered was either stone-cold, overcooked into oblivion, or suspiciously undercooked. The chicken was undercooked and had a strange grey hue, the vegetables were soggy and lifeless — probably over the course of several days. Sauces(the containers were filthy and unwashed) were congealed, portions were inconsistent, and the overall presentation was lazy to the point of insulting. It felt like they were serving leftovers from a some other canteen… and even that might be too generous. From past two weeks have sent back every food that i have ordered, even after 3 attempts do a very basic veggie dish the chefs couldn't get it right. Even the Head Chef knew that something was wrong the first time but still they get it wrong(very consistent in getting it wrong). Glad this is not a hospital and chefs are not doctors else every surgery would have taken multiple attempts. The Chicken dish in the picture had whole chillies and now am sure that not only f&b is ignorant but also never wash their veggies. THIS IS A SERIOUS HEALTH CONCERN. Basic Chilli Cheese toast was sent as if it was a ball of bread shoved with some cheese. I have witnessed personally that the Stirrers used in the drinks are reused - another SERIOUS HEALTH CONCERN. This is not a average priced restaurant. They charge over and more than what they offer. They have charged me triple for a basic veg salad(just some onion slices and cukes) The only good thing about the restaurant is the service and waiting staff I have walked away every day last few weeks from the restaurant not just disappointed, but genuinely concerned. Concerned that guests — many of whom are likely tourists unfamiliar with the area — are being served food that might not even be safe to eat. It’s deeply irresponsible for a hotel to attach its name to something this disgraceful. This is not just a bad meal; it’s a potential health risk. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else. This place needs a complete overhaul — from chef training to a deep sanitation process in...
Read moreAwesome food and quite a quantity in restaurant the Melting Pot, at such reasonable price. A must visit and dine in. Though buffet breakfast has much limited options but their crispy dosas were awesome! Everything else in the property is disappointing if it’s not the food. Nothing can match taste and price.
Just one issue - the manager there Mr. Raghavendra charged us for khichdi which was ordered for my 3 year old saying that if it’s a buffet he wouldn’t have charged but it’s made as a dish for him. No where in a good restaurant of repute does anyone charge for a kid under 5 year old. However since the food was just so amazing, we could ignore...
Read moreAmbience is good and food was alright but the service was too slow and the waiter was completely confused. Forgot to bring some orders and after waiting for a long time when we asked him he claimed that we had never even placed the order in the first place. This is after he had written down and then repeated the order initially. Would have accepted if he had the integrity to own up to the mistake and apologise instead of putting the blame on the customer. Quite...
