After all the hype about this place and a long wait to visit, finally made it to this beautiful place. I'm not quite sure they take reservations as I've always seen a crowd outside waiting irrespective of time and day of the week - I managed to get my table after a wait period of 30 mins on a Monday evening at 7: Not very long (This may vary, we were 2 and hence probably got it relatively faster).
Their welcome drink a mix of coconut milk and Mango is really delicious. Their menu has a clear call out of what each dish is along with recommendations from whoever is serving you.
We ordered the below which was sufficient for 2 people: Vegetable Lemon Pepper Soup Ratatouille Gujiya Tender Coconut Fritters Mirchy Lasoon Paratha Butter Naan Creamy Paneer Kofta with Onion Gravy Phurrrrr
Each of the dish we ordered were really really delicious. And because we were just 2 of us the starters were good enough in quantity. If the number of members in your gang are more, you may want to order each in larger quantity. The presentation of every dish is a treat to the eyes. What's noteworthy is the service - even with a full house, there were no delays in delivering our dishes. Ranjit was very polite and hospitable along with other courteous staff who ensured we had a great time.
Considering they're almost full most of the time, I got a table right in front of the door. You open the door and there we are seated withing 20-30m from the door - everyone waiting outside can see us and the passers by never hesitate to peep into our plates. I only recommend that either this very first table with a road view to insiders and 'table with people enjoying food' view to outsiders is removed. With a crowd waiting outside, it's really annoying to have people peeping through the glass, looking at you and waiting for you to get out - a signal to finish fast : you tend to enjoy your meal a little less. I'm sure if I were on the other side, I'd wait too praying for people to get out soon : human mentality afterall. Best is to have this table removed, or have a curtain inside or have the glass of the main door to be made opaque or a no-see-through.
Apart from this, there was no complaints whatsoever. Loved the food and service here :) As for the price, it was approx 1.4k for each of the 2 of us for the items I've mentioned - and honestly I didn't feel it to be too much the for the top quality and quantity of food & the service. It's a pretty decently small place that's well lit with nice colorful painted walls - so have less to talk about the ambience. The cutely adorable nest that comes to your table with the bill with the chotu jars of saunf steal your heart as you prepare to exit :) A must...

My recent lunch experience at Phurr in Jayanagar, Bangalore, was an absolute delight! I had a 12:30 PM reservation and went with my mom, eager to try out this highly-recommended spot. The restaurant truly lives up to its hype. The ambiance at Phurr is fantastic, with good interiors and amazing decor creating a welcoming and stylish atmosphere. We were warmly greeted, and our server, Deepak, was incredibly polite and offered some truly excellent recommendations throughout our meal. While the service might take a little time, the dishes are well worth the wait – it's clear they put care into every plate. Now, onto the stars of the show: the food! We started with the Palak Patta Chaat, a classic done right. It was perfectly sweet and tangy, and a generous portion, easily sufficient for two. Definitely a recommended start to your meal. Next up, the Stuffed Mushroom with Pesto was a revelation. It offered a unique Italian twist on stuffed mushrooms, with just the right amount of spices. The mushrooms themselves were soft and delicious, again, enough for two. This is a must-try for mushroom lovers. The Tender Coconut Fritters were perhaps the most intriguing dish we tried. This unique dish was a textural masterpiece – crispy on the outside and wonderfully creamy on the inside. Sufficient for two, these are an absolute must-order. For our main course, we chose the Vegetable Kofta with Banarasi Phuktan Curry. The koftas were soft, and the gravy, served on the side, was a refreshing change. It was my first time having a medium spicy curry without any sweetness, and I absolutely loved its taste and consistency. This dish, too, was sufficient for two and highly recommended. To accompany our curry, we ordered the Mirchi Lahsoon Paratha. These tandoor-grilled parathas were quite heavy and incredibly tasty, offering a satisfying kick of hotness. Two parathas were more than enough for us. To wash it all down, we tried the Harmony Hawk drink. This was a wonderfully refreshing and tangy concoction, with a hint of aam panna, carbonated water, chili, and chaat masala. It was the perfect palate cleanser and highly recommended. And finally, for dessert, we indulged in Phurr. This saffron-flavored delight was soft, frothy, and had just the right amount of sweetness. It was perfectly sized to be filling for two and is definitely a must-have to round off your meal. Overall, Phurr exceeded our expectations. Every dish was a hit, and the service and ambiance complemented the delicious food perfectly. I would absolutely love to visit this place again, though I'll be sure to plan ahead next time given its...
Read moreFor the people who are looking for quick review - Overpriced, Overhyped, not recommended. Except for the ambience and presentation there is nothing great. The food is good, no doubt about it, but if you are spending so much, you can easily visit some 5 star restaurants. Rather, I would suggest Subz or Kapoor's cafe which is just 100-150 mtrs away.
For someone who wants to know to in detail, please read below. Restaurants will hate me for spilling this truth. Firstly, let me tell you it was a real fomo about this restaurant as we have tried to book a table months ago, and it was always sold out. Yesterday, it was my birthday and we casually roamed around Jayanagar and thought of checking if a table is available for 3. And guess what, surprisingly it was available in the next half an hour, we were very happy and we spent a few minutes sipping our coffee in Namma Filter Coffee which is just beside the restaurant. It was 4 PM as we entered the restaurant. Soon after we were settled on the table, the staff hurried, not even giving us a chance to look at the menu, he only suggested everything in a hurry mentioning that they are closing soon. Starter was just served, already he was right behind us forcing us to place an order for everything else all at once. We were literally in a confusion whether to concentrate on what has served or to tell him the next item just because he is forcing us. And most of the restaurants make a lot of effort to make your birthday special, but here, even after mentioning, there was a casual wish saying Happy Birthday ma'm but the expression was saying please place the order quickly, we need to close soon. Total Chaos. So my question here to the restaurant is If you were closing soon, why did you even accept the booking, just to make business in less time? If we have come to eat food, allow us to eat peacefully, why are you making it so hurry to the customer that they are not even able to understand what to order. Restaurants are not just for food, it's for making memories and moments. And you didn't allow us to make one, if it's only for the sake of food, we have all Darshinis, family restaurants all around the Bangalore serving better food for a better price. I don't think we need you. Coming to the food, it's not something you don't find in other restaurants, I have experienced Taj and they are equally creative in creating such a menu, and guess what, they help you make your experience better. Price -...
