We were craving for the paneer dilkush from Real Fresh Dosa Corner after a long time, sad to see all the crowds have disappeared to other newer outlets in AECS layout, but upon tasting we realized why the crowds have disappeared. While the dosa taste was almost same as before, realized that the chutneys had spoiled, i told the staff and they didn’t pay attention to replacing it, instead added water and served to another customer right in front of us, really sad, such an iconic outlet that I have been dining since 2012 cutting corners and not keeping customers in mind.
My first ever experience of having a Bombay Style Dosa, was actually in Mumbai way back in 2001. It was in a tiny cart near the Ville Parle station, run by a trained chef. The varieties were many, flavours delicious.
When I relocated to Bangalore in 2012, the Real Fresh Dosa Corner was right next to the company provided accommodation. Looking at the place I know that this is going to be similar to what I experience in Mumbai. However, the huge crowd and the demand built an anticipation in me, that this one is going to be definitely close to the Mumbai version, if not better.
After a wait of almost 30 mins, I got my Paneer Dilkush dosa hot, on a plate. One of the best dosa’s I have experienced, and exactly same as the Mumbai version. Their Chinese dosa’s are my definite favourite, be it the Chinese Noodles Dosa, or the Schezuan (or Sichuan) Paneer, or the simple Schezuan Onion Dosa.
And I have always wondered, what makes their dosa’s special, is it the unique batter or is it because of the coal powered stove, accompanied coconut, pudina chutney, or the huge dollops of butter per dosa, right from their simple plan Masala Dosa to more specialty Indian varieties like the Pav Baji Dosa, and Palak Paneer Dosa.
From then, I have been visiting them, as early as yesterday, for dinner. If you are anywhere near AECS layout, this place is a must visit for a light snack or heavy dinner (They are open from 11 AM actually), just be prepared for the long wait, that is heavily justified.
Quick Summary – A tasty home style dosa place, with exotic dosa varieties, drenched in Amul butter, even though the service tests your patience, it comes highly...

Read moreThis is a very tiny dosa joint in Brookfield .I have been to this place twice and will continue doing if I am passing by. I love their dosas, all most all of them. Here you can experience the fusion of the traditional dosas and modern Chinese cuisine. I have tried almost all the dosas in the menu and here are some of my personal favourites - The spring Masala, Schezwan cheese Paneer Masala, the Kerala masala, and sada dosa. The price range is very friendly to your pocket but the place gets crowded during the evening and takes about 20 to 30 minutes to get you dosa on a typical weekend evening. The way they handle the huge orders and prepare the dosa is a treat to watch. I highly recommend this joint to all foodies. Bon...
