OM Agarwal Bhavan - AECS LAYOUT — Restaurant in Bengaluru

We have been eating at Agarwal Bhawan for quite some time now, mainly for their chhole bhature, jalebi, and lassi but sadly, our experience has only gone downhill lately.

It’s clear that they have started cutting corners with their food quality. The oil they use for frying doesn’t feel fresh or good quality anymore, which completely ruins the taste and leaves an awful aftertaste that just sticks with you for hours. The jalebi, which used to be a treat, now feels like you’re just eating maida drenched in sugar syrup — overly sweet and unsatisfying. The lassi is still decent in taste, but they serve it in a glass that’s 1/4th empty for no good reason at all.

Their service is another big disappointment. The staff are not friendly and don’t seem to care about the customer experience one bit. Basic courtesy and attentiveness are clearly missing here.

If you’re making a list of North Indian places to try in Bangalore, maybe add this one to the ‘places to avoid’ section. There are plenty of better options around where you’ll get your money’s worth, good food, and no lingering aftertaste. Agarwal Bhawan seriously needs to step up its quality and service if they want loyal customers to keep...

There are days when you have craving for certain food and it was CHAT the other day. Since we decided to go out little late we reached this place by around 9:15pm. As expected not a lot of crowd and since we were late some items in menu were also missing or got over. Luckily it was the time when Agarwal had an offer of two chats for 99/- going on. So we ordered Tikku Char, Samosa chat, Rajkachori and cheese vasa pav all for 198/-. The chat was descent but this is no what you expect from a shop like this. Felt the food was from a street vendor with lot of gravy without authentic taste as everything tasted the same and spices too. As the chat was spicy we ordered a desert called as litchi Rasmalai. As the food was spicy directly dived into the desert. That is why the picture looks half eaten 😊.

Had good experience earlier with Agrawal Bhavan and use to visit regularly. But the quality got degraded so much recently. We purchased sweets as take away in the evening which was spoiled and smelled bad while eating on the same day. We went to the shop and complained so they agreed for exchange, but this time we selected different sweet as we were not convinced with previous one. Surprisingly when we opened this item at home that was also smelling bad. Hope the owner listen to this feedback and improve...
