Visited this place on a Sunday evening for dinner and won't really be visiting it again.
Food: Firstly, it's not biryani but pulao (people who understand this know what I mean) and it's a typical Karnataka donne style pulao. We ordered both chicken and mutton so-called biryani and the rice tasted more or less the same in both. The mutton was well cooked and came with decent 2pieces. The chicken biryani also had only 2 pieces of chicken which was quite small and disappointing. One full portion of either chicken/mutton biryani wasn't enough for one person (Going by the std that one portion of biryani in either Meghnas or Nagarjuna is more than enough for one person) We also ordered lemon chicken and this was absolutely nasty. It came in a sort of cornstarch gravy which looked and tasted curdled/split with tons of artificial lemoniness. Extremely terrible!! We also ordered another kebab biryani expecting it to be something different, but it was the same rice with 4small pieces of fried bony chicken.
Service: Now more than the food itself, it was the service which was apathetic. The person serving our table was least interested in serving and was cocky. When asked for recommendations on starters, he had nothing to recommend. We had to call him multiple times to get his attention, did not even come to check even once after placing our first order. We finally got another waiter to help place our second order. When you go to a premium place like this, what one expects the least is a borof standard service and the personal serving was really bad. Everyone has a bad day at work perhaps and may not feel that enthusiastic, but that does not justify the bad attitude he showed. Also another thing to mention is they take your phone number at the entrance even though there is no waiting. Next as soon as you are seated, they again come and ask for the phone number. I don't understand why they would do this and just spoils your start as it seems like you are dealing with a...
Read moreFinally I found the best restaurant to binge on biryani. Landed up in this place a few days back for dinner. It's a new entrant in Bengaluru which is located in Jayanagar.
What wins it for this place at the very outset is it’s awe-inspiring decor....without a doubt one of the most Instagram-worthy Biryani places in all of Bangalore. The interiors look exquisite with lighting and an elegant fine dine setup. The place is magical and the seating is so comfortable, the vibe is sexy....so intriguing.
Coming to food, they specialise in different types of Biryanis. They serve both veg and non veg, but i felt veg options are less, hope you guyzzz get that fixed. As vegetarians, we tried : *Mulligatawny Soup *Kulukki Cola *Babycorn Pudhina Dry *Drumstick Chilli *Paneer Ghee Roast *Donne Veg Biryani *Elaneer Payasam *Crystal Roll
*Mulligatawny Soup tasted delightful, bang on when it comes to flavours. *I justtt loved the starters especially Drumstick Chilli was quite unique, and healthy too. I was super impressed with this innovation. *Biryani was pleasing to palate...a bit spicy, aromatic with right amount of spices to ensure that every bite is as flavourful as possible. Rice is cooked to perfection with rustic spices along with veggies which promises to give a power packed punch to your taste buds. *I ended my meal with Elaneer Payasam that had proper amount of sweetness in it and Crystal Rolls were damn good and justtt woke up my tastebuds.
Overall I really enjoyed my meal here. The service is top notch and they give nice suggestions on what to order.
If you looking for a different kinda Biryanis, then you have to step in once..!! It's heaven....The pricing comes with a feather on the cap, worth a visit. The staff is polite and quick in taking our orders and serving us too. Totally worth a visit to this place. So do take your squad or family along and...
Read moreVisited RnR Biryani on Monday and had a good overall experience with both the food and service.
Naati Koli Rasam – The flavor was enjoyable, but it’s best consumed hot. Unfortunately, we received the last portion, which slightly impacted the experience.
Mutton Nalli Fry – While the taste was good, the portion size felt insufficient for the price. The dish had two large bones, but the amount of meat could have been more generous.
Naati Style Chilli Chicken – A truly spicy dish where the green chili flakes stand out. The chicken was well-cooked, tender, and flavorful. Highly recommended for those who enjoy heat.
RnR Special Kshatriya Kabab – Not a personal favorite. The taste and ingredients didn’t quite meet expectations.
Mutton Biryani – The highlight of the meal. The taste was exceptional, with perfectly cooked rice, well-balanced spices, and a rich naati-style flavor. A must-try.
Chicken Biryani – Decent, but nothing extraordinary.
The initial service was prompt and efficient, but there was a 30-minute wait for the biryani as it was being freshly prepared. While this is understandable, it would have been helpful if the staff had informed us in advance.
Dessert: Elaneeru Payasam – Not up to the mark. It tasted more like sweetened water with small pieces of tender coconut. Perhaps it was just an off day for this dish, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Overall, RnR Biryani delivers on taste, especially with its Mutton Biryani and Naati-style dishes. Some improvements in portion sizes and communication about waiting times would enhance the experience...
