I love love loved this new buffet in a box concept by Sattvam..!! This review is going to be big, so be ready to read it ;-) if you want a short review, please check the last few lines..!!
Delivery - I went for the big buffet in box option, which costed 1080/- Delivery was done on time, and it was contact less
Packaging - Packaging is just so perfectly done..!! Starters are packed in a biodegradable box, which can be heated in oven for 30-45sec to have it fresh and hot..!! Every dish is packed in a seperate box and leak proof ones Buttermilk too comes in a bottle, which is of good quality. Although they could have reduced the use of plastic, they did try to minimize depending on the type of dish packed
Quality and quantity - The quality of the food is the best without second thoughts..!! I have been to their jp nagar outlet in person and loved their wide spread of authentic dishes...!! The quantity they served in this delivery box is more than enough for 3 people..!!
Food review - Starters - Starters had 6 varities, matar ki tikki, seekh kebab, pakode, paneer tikka, spring roll, veg fingers which were amazing..!! Matar ki tikki was my favourite ❤️❤️
Sides - Perfectly prepared dhokla, which was spongy, soft and moist was to die for. The red and green chutney served with it was just perfect. 2 bottles of buttermilk, which is my favourite again..!! Small disk sized papads and lip smacking dabeli...!! Dahi bhalla is another chat which you can't resist from having..!!
Maincourse - 3 rotis and 3 naan which weren't stretchy and hard even when it got cold. Veg biriyani, raita is for everyone who loves some rice in their meals. They also have 3 sabji included, a paneer sabji, which was little subtle to taste, not too spicy and not too mild. Mixed veg sabji which is little spicy and dal makhni the best of what I had till date..!! Dal makhni is completely prepared in ghee and I finished it off at one go..!!
Desserts - Angoordana is something which I had for the first time and loved it..!! These are small rasgulla/tofu balls dipped in sweet creamy malai..!! So spongy and so delicious..!! Also we had perfectly made gulab jamun and kheer to end our Happy meal ❣️
After this feast, there was a need of mouth freshner and they made sure to take care of it too..!!
Overall, the presentation, the packaging, quantity, pricing everything was just well planned and delivered...!! None of the dishes were bad or could give a negative vibe when you eat..!! I just wish they mentioned the name of the dish on the box, but it's a very minute change which they can implement..!!
Kudos to the whole team for curating it and serving their best to everyone...

Took my daughter for a treat here. It was a disappointing and terrible experience right from the first call to book a table.
This is a very "Rule Based" restaurant - only for the customers :) I call the reservation desk and lady starts with rules. She says in some dialect sounding like English that , there are 2 batches. 12-2, 2-4, FIrst batch people must vacate the place by 2.
Then I book a table for 2:30. I was running late. The lady calls me and yells at me that I'm later and there rules. Then I tried to explain to her. She was very adament. So I asked for the manager. She tells me that the manager is not available and slams the phone. When I reach the hotel, she makes a face and yells at me again sayin I'm late and there are rules and I will have to vacate by 4. Had it not been for that 1 damn chocolate fountain which my daughter loves, I had no reason to even to talk such people.
The last time I had someone yell at me like this was my PT teacher in 4th grade in 1986 :).
I insisted that speak with the manager. The manager also tried to explain the rules again to me !!!
Then I had to give a piece of my mind. I insisted that I speak to the owner of the hotel. He tells me that the owners are inaccessible to lesser humans like us.
Then suddenly all the staff started treating us well.
But they are not following rules :). They closed many counters by 3:50.
Another thing about these new era hotels are that they have staff from every part of India, but none of them can converse in kannada. For some reason, they just assume that everyone can speak Hindi. This rubbed me further , being a native Kanndiga.
I then tried contacting the owners on Facebook. Like the manager told me, the owners don't respond to lesser mortals like us who pay through our nose to make...
Read moreSattvam Restaurant: A Feast for the Senses and the Soul Sattvam Restaurant offers a truly unique vegetarian dining experience, rooted in the principles of wholesome yogic and Sattvic cuisine. With a vibrant atmosphere and an extensive buffet priced at ₹800 per person (with reduced prices for children), it's a haven for those seeking a delicious and soul-satisfying meal.
The first thing that struck me upon entering Sattvam was the ambience. It was bright and inviting, with an air of serenity that perfectly complemented the restaurant's focus on healthy living. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, explaining the concept of Sattvic cuisine and readily answering any questions I had.
The star of the show, however, was undoubtedly the buffet. The sheer variety of dishes was astounding, offering something to please every palate. From classic Indian favorites to innovative creations, each dish was bursting with flavor and freshness. Whether you crave savory chaats or comforting curries, Sattvam has it all.
A special mention goes to their seasonal offerings. During my visit, it was mango season, and the restaurant had incorporated the king of fruits into a delightful array of dishes. From refreshing salads to decadent desserts, the mango theme added a touch of vibrancy and sweetness to the already impressive spread.
The quality of the ingredients truly shone through in every dish. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, retaining their crispness and natural sweetness. The spices were used judiciously, allowing the natural flavors to take center stage. Unlike some buffets where quantity overpowers quality, Sattvam focuses on creating smaller portions of a vast variety, ensuring freshness and encouraging diners to try a little bit of everything.
While the price point might seem high at first glance, considering the sheer variety, quality of ingredients, and overall dining experience, it offers good value for money. It's important to remember you're not just paying for a meal, but for a unique culinary journey that nourishes both body and soul.
Overall, Sattvam Restaurant exceeded my expectations. It's a perfect place for a special occasion, a gathering with friends and family, or even a solo indulgence for those seeking a healthy and flavorful vegetarian experience. With its vibrant ambience, friendly service, and exceptional food, Sattvam is a must-visit for any...
