A classic example of how one can't survive in the food industry if they can't innovate or cope up with the competition. Smoke once considered as a landmark on the 80ft road has become utterly useless when I last visited.
Food : A restaurant which serves food didn't have 80% of their menu available. The menu of Kenzai is just for the show because nothing is available from that. Only 2 types of starters were there. Why keep a menu when whatever the customer asks for gets a reply "Sir woh available nahi hai". The salad we ordered didn't have half the ingredients mentioned in the menu dish.
Cleanliness: Now this is what I hated when I visited Smoke last. We took the open area outside. The table had dust on it. The menu was torn and was wet. The chair was rocking, the cutlery had to be asked to change because it had stains. I have attached a couple of pictures of the menu and cutlery here for reference.
Service: Slow as usual. Staff is courteous but you kinda get irritated when they ask you to choose an item and then say it's not available. Eventually we asked the staff what is available there in the restaurant and ordered that.
Quality of food : I feel it's gone down considering how it was before. Moreover to rate the quality of the food there should be food available in the restaurant.
Vibe : I remember celebrating birthdays and having group outings in that first floor outdoor space. It had an artificial water body with fishes in it. Today when I saw it, the water was not at all clean and there were absolutely no fish whatsoever.
I believe Smoke just couldn't keep up with Kobe's and Truffles which are right opposite. The least the management could have done is to keep the place clean. I wouldn't be surprised if this place closes down with time. Hopefully this outlet doesn't take the reputation of other outlets which are opening within some malls.
I had visited this place for years and I'm sad to say that this is my last time in Smoke. Highly...
Read moreAnother amazing place on New BEL Road. Located on the 1st floor (above Stoned Monkey) this place has a fantastic ambience with both outdoor and indoor seating areas.
It has got wooden style interiors which gives a nice calm feel. The roof has a unique set of intertwining ropes which will surely catch your gaze (you can look at the pic to get an idea).
The food here is really tasty and has a good variety of smoking sizzlers on offer. Not to forget the wide range of burgers/steaks and appetizers available. You'll not fall short of options and variety here.
We ordered the Barbecue chicken sizzler which was served smoking hot with rice and veggies. Tasted fantastic.
Also on our table was the chili chicken sizzler served with noodles and as the name suggests, it was quite spicy. Suitable to lovers of spicy food.
From the appetizers section we had ordered 'Crumbed chicken with hot sauce' and this dish has a really unique taste to it. Tasted quite weird in the beginning, but as we had a few pieces, we developed a taste for it and started liking it. Surely one to try out.
Another positive aspect of this place is the quantity served, The sizzlers, appetizers etc. are all served in more than adequate quantity and have quite big pieces of chicken. We saw the burgers as well and they were huge, would easily be adequate for 2 people. Loved this aspect of the restaurant.
Service is top notch and quick, nothing to complain off. While the pricing is reasonable as well, you'd get good value for your money considering the quality and quantity of their dishes.
Lovely place to enjoy some smoking...

I recently reserved a table at Smoke - the sizzler house and was quite surprised by how cramped the space was. The restaurant is too small to accommodate groups larger than five, making the experience uncomfortable from the start. I ordered the Vietnamese phoo chicken soup, expecting it to be like the one I’ve had many times at Kenzai (which I believe is linked to this place as it's in the same building).I was expecting the same quality, but what I received was a completely different dish. It felt like a scam and they misled us with the menu as the soup did not resemble what I had at Kenzai. The real frustration came with the starters. We ordered 6-7 starters, and the food quality was terrible. It felt like the dishes had been pre-cooked days ago, stored in the fridge, and just reheated before serving. One dish was so hard and tough that it was impossible to bite through. The same issue occurred with 2 other starters, which left us incredibly frustrated. At that point, we were so disappointed that we didn’t even bother ordering a main course and just left the restaurant.
Overall, it was not the experience I...
