Let me start of saying what a pretty place this is! Via Milano has several outlets across the city, but this one by far has to be one of the most tastefully decorated ones. This outlet is located inside the La Marvella Hotel which is at the South End Circle. You can easily access this place via Metro, or if you have a vehicle, not to worry as they have ample parking space.
SHORT REVIEW: A nice place to spend some time with your loved ones, has some interesting cocktails and mocktails and a spectacular assortment of Italian cuisine. Prices are pretty decent and service is top-notch!
MUST TRY: Peach Passion, Blueberry Mojito, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Penne Milanese, ALL their desserts LONG REVIEW: Visited this place yesterday noon with a few of my foodie friends, and was pretty surprised with the overall visit, which was nothing less than a fine dine experience!
Chicken Souvlaki – This was an interesting chicken starter served in mixture of delicate flavoured sauces. Tasted pretty good. Chicken Salad with Fried Mushrooms – While the chicken tasted a bit bland, the lettuce in the salad was seasoned perfectly with the right oils and dressings. Grilled Chicken with Roasted Potatoes – The chicken seemed a bit undercooked, but the outer coating and glazing was top notch. Perhaps they could slice a smaller fillet so that the flavours get absorbed into the meat. Penne Milanese – The pasta might seem hard, but do understand that this is how the Italians eat their pasta (al dente). The Milanese sauce was exquisite and I totally loved this dish BBQ Chicken Pizza – This is easily the highlight of our entire meal, a close contender to the Blueberry Cheesecake though. The pizza was juicy, moist and had generous helpings of olive oil and balsamic sauce. For people who don’t like their pizza breads thick, this is an ideal choice as it is a thin crust pizza. There were generous helpings of chicken and mushrooms, good enough for three people to share. Moving on to the desserts, they were out of this world. Despite not being a person who enjoys desserts, I would probably visit them over and over again just for their desserts! Here are some of the desserts we ordered: Vanilla Pannacotta with Strawberry Sauce – This dish disappeared almost as instantly as it appeared. The pannacotta was perfect, with the right consistency and not overly sweet. Loved it! Almond Semifreddo with Chocolate Sauce – Thankfully the mild flavours of the almond base weren’t overpowered by the chocolate sauce, and hence it was a really good dessert. Chocolate Ganache with Peanut Butter Mousse – Special mention has to be given to the plating of this dish. It looked so good that none of us wanted to be the first one to take a bite. But when we finally managed to, it was pure heaven. A must try for peanut butter lovers. Again, the salty peanut butter does a wonderful job in balancing the sweetness of the chocolate sauce. Poached Wine Pear with Ice-cream – While the flavours in this dessert were quite good, it was a task to try and chop the pear which was a bit hard. I don’t know what’s with this place and hard food textures. Torta Formaggio di Mirtillo – This was my most favourite dish among the lot. It was a cheesecake with blueberry compote, that was baked to perfection and was emptied in seconds! On the mocktails front, we tried the following: Chilly Guava – I didn’t like this one much as it had a lot of coriander, but a couple of my friends liked it. Blueberry Mojito – The first one of this which we had tasted really good, but the subsequent ones felt a bit diluted, nonetheless a refreshing drink. Peach Passion – This was by far the best mocktail I had out of the lot, with a perfect blend of peach and passion fruit syrup and a slight hint of orange juice. OVERALL VERDICT: This place is a definite must-visit, even if you stay somewhere far, as the experience is totally worth it. Pricing is spot on, even for the alcoholic variants. I do wish they had Zomato Gold though, which would have made the deal a lot sweeter, but then hey, you cant...
Read moreI visited Via Milano's newest outlet in Jayanagar today after having been a loyal guest to the other outlets so far and well, this is now my favorite - a primary reason being how it is strategically located on the ground floor of La marvella sarovar premiere hotel and equipped with a large wine list and even a smoking room. The interiors are well lit to suit your mood for a fine diner Italian meal. First you're served breads straight out of the oven with delicious dips all on the house.
I took the peach passion mocktail which was just perfectly tangy and sweet at the same time with an orange slice garnish.
Also loved the Blueberry mojito.
Today I decided to try an antipasti platter that included chicken souvlaki - which is the Greek version of the Middle Eastern kebab, made of meat - marinated in lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper and grilled on skewers ; grilled shrimps and a chicken salads with fried mushrooms.
Followed by a barbeque chicken pizza that is loaded with cheese, olives, barbequed chicken and finished with thinly sliced sun dried tomatoes. It is thin crust and perhaps one of the best pizzas I've had so far.
For main course, I started with some grilled chicken with roasted potatoes - the chicken is grilled with its skin and I'm a huge fan of the same. However if you don't want it with the skin, you can simply ask them to make it without the same.
Also had the Fillet of snapper seared lightly served alongside mild lemon butter sauce that adds some tanginess to it.
You can also consider the Penne milanese - your basic penne pasta in their special Milanese sauce.
Coming to my most favorite part of the entire meal, of course the desserts - My most favorite the chocolate ganache on a tart base topped with a quenelle of peanut butter mousse and a lot of rich caramel sauce. It was ecclectic till the last bite and I could not nothing but crave for more. It's a sinful dessert for real. You can also consider their signature dessert that consists of vanilla panna cotta, an almond semi fredo and a chocolate mousse - each element is crafted with sheer perfection. The staff is really efficient in making sure that you have am...
Read moreVia Milano - Firstly am pretty happy that Via Milano has opened doors in South Bengaluru!
Located in La Marvella, South end circle this restaurant can be found right in the ground floor. With a perfect lighting everywhere this place feels so good at any corner as it is so well designed 👌🏻
They have excellent seating options to choose from, beautiful bar counter at the center with a waterfall backdrop. Soothing music and a cosy ambience goes hand in hand!
I had been here with a group of friends and firstly we decided to order the assorted bread platter! Assorted bread platter was so soft and good, served with mayonesse sauce and basil dip!
We then order few Mocktails. I ordered turquoise blue which is basically a pineapple & coconut based drink.
I did order spicy gauva mocktail as I'm a fan of that! The drink looked so appealing and tasted good, but coriander was too much which gave a slightly different taste!
Then came in the starters - Complete italian style pannzerotti with ricotta and spinach inside as a filling👌🏻 Highly recommend at this place✨
Then came in Italian Bollywood pizza! If someone wants to know what a proper Italian pizza is,then you would have to come over this place and try them👌🏻 Beautiful thin crust pizza served hot with enormous cheese and veggies on top!
Before jumping to main course,I was so full and wanted to go to desserts! I was every Keen to try their special baked Eggplant Rolls and potatoe tartelloni. As soon I tasted the first bite I could resist on having the entire plate🙊
The sauce on top of the pannzerotti is so addictive and was the highlight!
We did have 3-4 desserts! My favorite being the Chocolate ganache with peanut butter and Vanilla pannacotta👌🏻
Priced decently and service is quick too! Staff are very courteous. A very hygenic place and Highly...
