Start with their signature Shitake Bamboo Shoot Roll, which is baked till soft and almost creamy, and served warm – no extra spices. Get the bite of Shitake Bamboo Shoot Roll, and feel the sweetness of fresh shitake mushroom and crisp yet juicy young bamboo shoots, dipped the roll in sweet chilli or hoisin sauce - just heaven.
The spicy Arabian Kofta Roll hits the mark with super soft lamb meat and tahini sauce that is well-balanced, a bit on the slightly spicy side. To truly enjoy this dish, tear apart the pita bread, take lamb meat and dunk them in the luscious yoghurt and tahini paste.
While you're here, also try the Hariyali Fish Tikka, where the melt-in-mouth fish chunks are grilled in an aromatic cilantro, mint and green chilli paste — the dish is not as spicy as the fish tikks masala, but the hint of green chilli flavour is stunning. Let loose and bite unabashedly on the the Hariyali Fish Tikka for the full experience.
Better known simply as Rosemary Chicken Tikka, this dish sees a mix of moist chicken chunks and thicker creamy yogurt marination, grilled slowly in charcoal oven. Rosemary Chicken Tikka relies a lot on the heat of the charcoal oven to impart a smoky flavour with a sublet rosemary aroma that completely elevates the dish.
Veggie-lovers are not left out here — the Basilica Paneer Tikka sees cottage cheese cubes stuffed with dry fruits & nuts with refreshing basil pesto sauce, served with onions, raita and papadum.
Next up the succulent Firdausi Aloo – grilled barrel-shaped potatoes filled with a paste of dry fruits and cottage cheese. No veg meal is complete without a sweet and mild Firdausi Aloo accompanied with aromatic and zingy dips.
Generously portioned Tangri Golestani are tender chicken drumsticks stuffed with spicy mutton keema, highly recommended by the Chef. Pair that with their tasty crisp paratha to complete the meal.
This Kolkata Chicken Biryani is cooked and served traditionally, without any curry, but every bit aromatic. It's also healthier with the minimal use of ghee, so you can feel a tiny bit less guilty. Enjoy delicious tender meat without gamey flavour, under a pile of fluffy fragrant rice, egg...
Read moreSo this is the place which has a perfect ambience and decoration, where you come to celebrate with friends or family to spend a long time along and decide to spend your hard earned money, you get impressed and then they show their true colour. How pathetic they are..!!! Listen to me , most of the good reviews in Google has been bought by the restaurant owners. Or maybe they only behave well with food bloggers. Don't fall into the trap. There are so many options out there. Go there and enjoy your precious time.
Why am I telling you this-
Today we went there for lunch. We saw they are offering a buffet at 699/- +5% gst .
There were 2 types of soups, momo, veg chop, fried aloo, half cooked chicken tandoori, tandoori fish, tandoori egg, chicken nuggets (worst one) , chowmin, biriyani, daal makhani, butter chicken, aloor dom, butter panner (without panner) , gulaab jamun, 1 Chinese dessert and only vanilla ice cream (no ice cream counter).
Note we went there at 3:35 p.m. They were very welcoming at first . Then when we just took a few starters from the buffet counter ( variety of the dishes were really limited. Rather Fiesta offers much more variation of items for the buffet) the staffs started to tell us that our buffet section is going to be closed at 4:00 p.m. Which they could have informed us just a few minutes back when we entered.
Now they told us to take the main course on our plate as much as we need because they want to clear the starter and the main course part. But the dessert section will be there. And they assured us that they will serve us the ice creams in our table whenever we want even after the buffet time.
Now few minutes later one of the staff came to us to tell that we want to clear the dessert section. And they served us the ice cream.
When we told them to refill the ice cream bowl for the 2nd time , they furiously told us "It's been 4 p.m. and after closing the buffet no one serves the food we'll only serve 1 time".
Except the food part there were few staff members who were discussing something by pointing out and laughing at other customers between them. Neither of them were clearing the waste or used plates . One of them (who was a middle aged short guy with receding hairline) was constantly staring at and checking the girls and women having their lunch.
I got so disgusted by all these behaviours and incident that I can't explain more. I forgot to capture the photos as proof. So I couldn't...
Read moreMy daughter's birthday was hosted at ORKO's last Friday. As good as the ambience might be there, there are many reasons why I would never go back there. The kind of hospitality they provide, you wouldn't want to bring your guests there. And the lady there (probably the manager), let's not talk about her! Extremely hostile and unprofessional attitude. As if the food was coming out of her paycheck. The buffet was supposed to start at 12:30. Even the starters were not available on the buffet counter till 2.00 and that too we had to knock several times. They weren't serving the drinks to the guests and we had to again tell them before they reluctantly did. The drinks were supposed to be unlimited but they weren't bringing out the coke and fresh lime soda. The only thing on the counter present was the blue lagoon which tasted trashy. When asked, the lady haughtily replied that they needed time to refill which was an excuse because we told her when there were only 2 glasses of blue lagoon lying there. They were not at all trying. The fish starter and fish main course wasn't being refilled. Most of the time it was empty. Guests were coming back and waiting at the table for food. The starters were stopped as soon the main course started whereas everything was supposed to be unlimited and available for the entire time. Some guests went to get those starters only to see them filled with water. The nolen gur ice cream wasn't brought out at first for some 30 minutes after dessert was served while the vanilla ice-cream was sitting on the counter. The guests got misguided thinking there was only that flavor there. These were all tricks so that less guests would consume the nolen gur ice-cream and as a result they would save money. In front of so many guests, I was embarrassed. You won't know how to manage everything. We were having to continuously knock and tell them to serve, bring out the food, etc. Everything was a complete mismanagement. And amidst all that, there was the lady. In a field like this, she would have to be extremely lucky to climb up the ladder with such an approach towards customers, since the day we went to book for the event.. So if you don't want to continuously stress over every single thing throughout the time on your special day, I would suggest you find a better place to...
