Editing my review after a year and now tea room has shifted. Today at 24/08/2024. I really felt insulted by whole staff including manager. I entered their new space and told them that we are 3 people. They gave us a table for 3 to which I asked if they hVe charging point. They said they only have it in table for 2 and 4. We requested them to give us table for 4 as my phone was dead and i needed to contact my family. Their waitress denied saying "not allowed ma'am" we were still waiting for my sister (3rd member) who was reaching in 5 mins. I talked to manager and requested him to let us sit on table for 4 for a while and we will move if someone will come. 3 tables were empty at that time. He said no first and when i requested once more he said okay witha disappointed face. We sat there and placed order. I could have heard and seen waiter and manager bitching about us but i tried ignoring. Then same waitress came and told us. "Can you shift on table for 2 our special guest is coming for this particular table. I said let my phone turn on then she insisted that please move on table for 2 there is a point to. I told her my sister has almost reached where she will sit she said we'll see once she'll be here. We shifted again she made us on a common sofa which had table for 2 then my sister came in and i request for our table now. She denied and said "please aap yahi adjust kro" even after requesting she didn't listen and said aap adjust hi kro. All in this 2 tables for 4 and 3 table for 3 was empty. She was continuously laughing at us and making fun of us. One of the worst experience ever. I felt embarrassed for invitating my bestfriend and my sister here. We had to leave because of...
Read moreIt's a very soothing and elegant place for having intellectual discussions, long talks and reading. Even for spending some me time. Yes, they do take time to prepare your order and sometimes order get cancelled too. But after all of that. I will still recommend you this place. But go there when you have time and free mind. You can also spend some time n money at Blossom Kocher to pamper yourself first or after having some tasty food.
Must try - French banaba toast i loved it. It is the served with honey by it's side. Pizza and pasta were also good. But if you are fan of that too much pasta sauce pasta. Then you might get disappointed. Plus they do not serve garlic bread by the side of pasta. (My Indian woman mind was not satisfied LOL) But the spaghetti, pesto pasta was really subtle and flavorful. I like the spinach and baby tomatoes in it. I don't eat mushrooms so i separated them for my food partner friend for the day. They do have books on the cafe but of selected genres. Carry your own book if you are willing to read and synch in with the vibrat yet relaxing vibes of the cafe.
Cold coffee was also fine and aromatic with blended ice cream in it. Peri-peri fries were actually peri-peri and nicely done. I liked them. In all I will give 200% marks for ambiance and vibe and 60% for food. If you have time to spend then service is not a problem. Else you will not feel good about the waiting and all.
I saw a pizza on someone's table. Next i will be trying that. It was an open sandwich I guess. I am not sure. But it was looking so amazing. And yes. They take their last order by 7.30pm in the evening. Visit and enjoy. Do let me know what should I try next from veg...
Read moreThe most beautiful thing about this place is whatever they have in menu is totally changed without any change of prices. The place is located at the most beautiful spot with the most worst placed staff and service. Over heard a senior staff bully a junior.
Coming on to the food Scones are served with their homemade jam but today it wasn't and when I asked why the person said 'it is the service staff who did not pay attention do we served the bottled one'. With Blossom Kochhar herself a celebrity, who came on a live for Delhi Government school students talking about entrepreneurship and how she is the inspiration everyone, said the education ministry. It is all gimmick marketing and over charging that comes down to.
Paid 799 for 2 pieces of scone with bottled jam and melted butter 1 cup of Darjeeling tea 1 railway cutlet without toast mind you ! please see all their menus everywhere the toast is mentioned but at the outlet - kitchen staff says "we just discontinued it" they called just lettuce side salad, how much would a Tomato cost you with it ?
How much is a slice of bread that can't be accommodated ?
There should be a petition to take away this perfect location from them if they will continue to this
Also please read their rules board it says "please refresh your order every hour"
With what please ? Most things are not available or available as you would want...
