ambience: nice they have a video game 3.5/5 food: 3/5 not authentic serving portion: very big 5/5 service: okayish 3.5/5 price/value for money: 3/5
overall: not a good experience, below our expectations and don't understand why some reviews said the food was mind-blowing. however, the food is not the absolute worst if you want good portions with not too much expectations 🤷♀️
what we ordered:
Happened to walk into Qwinnys after reading about a dimsum fest. My first time into the restaurant which was once Wai yu Mun ching and a very old favorite of mine. They were offering an unlimited dim sum menu featuring a variety of Veg and Chicken dimsums, complemented by a flavorful Manchow soup and darsan which on request they changed to mochi icecream but due to electricity fluctuations it wasn't in a great shape hence, didnt taste amazing. What surprised me was they didn't even once talk about the main course included..nor did they ask if we need a repeat for any of the dimsums. We were full anyway hence didnt bring it up as well. Dimsums werent great but just average..The dining experience was marred by a short circuit issue, resulting in non-functional air conditioning units and weird electrical movements, which significantly impacted the overall essence of the meal. A very okayish experience for me. What we paid was 906 per head which I felt wasn't VFM for...
Read moreI recently ordered from Qwinny’s and tried their Teriyaki Mushroom & Avocado Roll, Spicy Prawn Tempura Roll, Veg Rainbow Roll, Spicy Veg Dimsum, and Crystal Veg Dimsum.
• The Teriyaki Mushroom & Avocado Roll was a unique and flavourful combination, and the avocado added a creamy texture that complemented the teriyaki sauce and mushrooms perfectly.
• Spicy Prawn Tempura Roll was crispy and had a nice kick of spice, which made it very enjoyable.
• The Veg Rainbow Roll was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. The combination of veggies and sauces made for a very tasty and healthy option.
• The Spicy Veg Dimsum and Crystal Veg Dimsum were both delicious as well. The wrappers were delicate and the filling was flavourful and packed with veggies.
Overall, Qwinny’s Asian offerings were delicious, well-presented, and fresh. These dishes are highly recommended, and I would definitely return to sample more items...
