Great food horrible service…
Great beginning to our meal, but as the evening went along things started to get quite sour... we were literally ignored after our mains were served. A lovely lady who seemed liked a manger promised to bring us our desert menus and packed our remaining mains.... dropped the takeaway parcel and promised to bring back desert menus... 20 mins and no menus... at 60 percent capacity they looked so understaffed... I wonder what would happen at full capacity.
Had to remind staff twice for desert menus, and when they were dropped off, no one really seemed interested in serving us.... we ended up skipping our deserts and waited another 15 minutes for our bill and payment process.
You don’t expect this service from a Taj establishment at these prices..... it’s like as it got busier the wheels just came off the service...... you guys really need to get your staff ratio sorted or have them better trained...
Such a shame, the food and half of our night was really good..... but with service like yesterday, unfortunately I will only remember the second half, or rather forget my night at the golden dragon...

Service is truly exceptional, the staff go out of their way to make sure you’re well taken care of. The chef also comes down to check and I have seen them replace the food if it’s not appreciated by customers. They also don’t hesitate to give special treats to children. Coming to the food, there is a lot of room for improvement. Chicken is hard and sometimes dry, can be made juicy and tender. Fish can be more flavoursome. The pairing of the hero item with the gravy or the flavours is not balanced. The gravies can be more delicate and sophisticated. The quantity is also less sometimes. Food quality needs to be taken up notches higher to make Golden Dragon to be considered among of the best places for Chinese cuisine...
Read moreThe experience was pathetic. Never expected such a service from them. The reception when called they told to walk in. When we came they treated us very bad. They directly shut me up by saying we are sold out. Even though I asked the person to make me talk to the superior of his, they made me wait for 20 minutes. They were indirectly ignoring me. I left the restaurant as no one was coming to talk to me .
They don’t have any communication between their management as well and are blaming me that I didn’t make a reservation.
I am very disappointed. I request people to not show up here. They only treat their VIP guests and not the common person.
I hope Taj property realises they are losing out on customers and their management should be better while serving people. They were very rude.
