We were in a hurry at 2pm looking for a good place to eat, near Kondapur. Somebody of us suggested Punjabi Affairs, quickly we booked our table for 9 people. Reached there in 10 mins. A table was nicely reserved for us. The ambience is good not very posh type but good. We quickly ordered starters both veg and nonveg. Chicken 65, some crispy veg both were excellent, freshly cooked, not having too much red chilli powder, lot of green chillies, with leaves, and top of it the chicken was properly cooked. Melted nicely in the mouth. The crispy veg is really tasty, and having a crispness. In the full course we ordered chicken patiala, paneer, dal makhani, chapathi etc. What I liked is the chicken curry is having an authentic flavour, and recipe, optimum use of red chilly powder. Other curries are also equally good. One curry can easily serve 4 people. Overall, it is a sudden good experience for me having food of my choice. In general in old city areas and swagat type hotels wherein excess use of mirchi powder is the norm, this came as a...
Read moreI have been here many times because of there tasty n tongue twisting food. All the times I tried vegetarian food. So writing reviews for that. I had food from their 3 outlets. I found Kondapur outlet better than other two. So I am writing review about Kondapur outlet.
Food : For food I will give 5 star for food. Veg diwani handi and patiyala lassi are must try. They prepare veg diwani handi with mushrooms, so if you are allergic to mushroom they try their other delicious dishes otherwise as I said veg diwani handi is must try. The main thing about here, you can get good quality pulkas(tawa roti) here.
Service : Service and staff is good. But most of the times you have to wait for 5-10 mins to get table.
Ambience: Ambience is ok ok. As they are providing good quality n delicious food, so most of the time it will be crowded. they play loud music, not too much loud. So its fun to have food...
Read moreWe visited this branch of Punjabi Affair on a Sunday and had to wait for 20 minutes for a table. Once we got a table, we were made to wait for another 15 minutes for someone to clean the table. The place was severely understaffed and the existing staff were seen running from pillar to post. The staff were not bothered to attend to new guests as they were busy fulfilling previous orders. The food came in very late and half the things were unavailable or we were told would take a "long time" to be ready. We had paneer tikka masala, butter chicken, butter kulcha, jeera rice and dal tadka and lassi. The food was decent but the entire experience was below our expectations. The washroom was very dirty and the commode didn't even have a toilet seat. For a restaurant catering to very high demand, hope the owner would really take the effort to ensure these basics are looked into. I definitely won't return to such a...
