I would consider this as one of the restaurant’s which has the best scenic view. As part of the late-night eat out places it caters to the niche crowd with its signature dishes.
Location : Conveniently located in the heart of the city which is Banjara hills in the building which used to house the old Music world.
Ambiance: A Picturesque place with amazing surroundings , good place to sit and watch the matches, enjoy the ambiance with friends over seesha or plain and simple just go there for their food. Mosquito's do try to spoil your mood, but there are multiple seating options inside and outside which can be tried in order to avoid it.
Indoor seating , Outdoor seating and 2 separate portico style seating for around 8 members each where you can sit undisturbed and enjoy the food and ambiance
Service: Orders were taken promptly and the waiters were at our beck and call all the time. There was hardly any delay in terms of our orders as they gave the exact time of our food order and adhered to it
Food: As they say better late than never, it was my mistake that I didn't visit this place earlier to try their delicious offerings. Was invited by the owner himself to try their food out and I couldn't say no.
A group of us decided to visit the place in the night as we knew that it is open till 4am in the morning.
As part of the starters we ordered Rann Peshawari - A whole leg of lamb which they marinate in special spices. The meat is so tender and succulent that it virtually makes you forget that it is mutton. Every bite was full of flavor and taste.
for the next dish we went with the suggestion of the manager who brought us Bhuna Kheema along with Laccha Paratha. The Kheema (Minced mutton) is a very common dish in muslim households and I was kinda skeptical when we ordered it, this dish turned out to be amazing, the best one I have ever had.
Biryani is kinda a staple weekly diet for any true blue Hyderabadi and having had it at every function and occasion we were dying to try something different and new.
We went for one of their signature dishes which was the Rann afghani biryani, the quantity is fit to suffice 4-5 people. It is a lucknowi style of cooking biryani which is gaining popularity here in Hyderabad.
Coming to the taste this is by far one of the best biryani’s that we have ever had. The long grained rice is flavorful and tasty , the wonderful smell of cooked biryani increased our appetites two fold. The meat was tender, moist and succulent, it was very soft and amazing to taste. You need to be an expert at handling & cooking mutton to generate this kind of softness.
Overall Verdict : Their signature dishes...

Silver Salt, nestled in the heart of Banjara Hills, offers an exceptional dining experience that blends tradition with modernity. With its newly revamped interiors, the restaurant has taken on a more contemporary and luxurious feel. The sleek design, warm lighting, and chic furniture make it a perfect spot for both family gatherings and intimate dinners. The subtle nods to Hyderabadi culture in the decor add a rich touch, creating a harmonious balance between elegance and tradition.
Our culinary journey at Silver Salt was nothing short of delightful. We began with their signature #GaloutiKebab, a dish that truly lives up to its name. The kebabs were incredibly soft and delicate, bursting with rich, aromatic spices that almost dissolved in our mouths. Paired with a tangy mint chutney, it was the perfect way to start the meal.
Next up was the #KulfiChicken, a truly unique offering. This dish combines tender chicken with a kulfi-based marinade, giving it a creamy, indulgent flavor with a mild sweetness that is surprisingly well-balanced by a hint of spice. It’s a must-try for anyone looking for something off the beaten path.
For the mains, the #RaanBiryani took center stage. This dish features a beautifully cooked raan (slow-roasted leg of lamb), paired with fragrant basmati rice and traditional biryani spices. The lamb was so tender it fell off the bone, and the flavors were deep and complex, making it one of the standout items on the menu.
We also sampled the #NalliBarra, which consisted of succulent lamb shanks marinated and cooked to perfection. The meat was soft, flavorful, and had a perfect char that enhanced its taste.
For a taste of traditional soups, we tried both the #MuttonShorba and #PayaShorba. The mutton shorba was hearty and full of meaty goodness, while the paya shorba stood out for its deep, rich flavor—a comforting dish for any palate.
Beyond the food, what made the experience at Silver Salt truly memorable was the exceptional hospitality from the owner, Ali Saberi. Ali’s warm demeanor and personal attention to detail ensured that we had a wonderful dining experience. His passion for the restaurant is evident in every aspect, from the quality of the food to the welcoming atmosphere of the space.
Silver Salt is not just a meal; it’s an experience, one that blends culinary craftsmanship with unmatched hospitality. Whether you’re a fan of traditional Indian cuisine or looking to try something new and exciting, Silver Salt will not disappoint. — with Hina Hk...
Read moreWhat do you do when you hear the word “Biryani”? Does your brain remind you of the piquant smell of hot Basmati rice mixed with herbs and Indian spices? Can you already feel the soft and tender Biryani rice with juicy flavourful meat pieces melting in your mouth as your taste buds experience euphoria! The origin of biryani seems to be of mixed one from various regions like Persian, Awadh & Mughal. Well, whatever may be its origin, everybody loves Biryani!
Known for late-night Mughal food offerings for the nocturnal gastronorms, Silver Salt is a food joint located in the more affluent part of Hyderabad in Banjara Hills locality, started off in 2013, which has a breath-taking rooftop ambience, bound to sweep you off your feet. Since then, the name is consistent among the locals here & I was more than happy on the news of this place being re-opened post-pandemic lockdown.
Coming straight to the food, the menu boasts of some delicious Mughal creations which you won't come across any restaurant in Hyderabad. Starting off the fare with some appetizers, Tangdi Kulfi Kebabs, a tandoor preparation of meat pieces marinated in creamy yoghurt & cashew nut paste with Indian spices wrapped in foil, an absolute hit right from the first morsel as it packed loads of flavours. Next up, we had Tandoori Pomfret having an entire pomfret fish marinated in curd, cream with Indian spices & a hint of mustard, however, the tandoor could have been done a bit more as the meat was less cooked than expected, definitely a delicious fish delight. Coming to Nalli Barrah, a chef special creation having Lamb chops marinated in creamy yoghurt & cream with Indian spice base & tandoor'd till perfection, meat falling off making this dish absolutely irresistible. Lastly, we tried Raan Biryani, an absolute showstopper at the first glance, this dish had 2 huge tender lamb legs marinated for a day and flavourful long basmati rice coated in Indian spices, easy to suffice a group of 4-6 people; the flavours hit the palate right from the first morsel making it an absolute hit. All in all, if you want to experience pure gastronomy on the biryani front with some lip-smacking mughlai offerings, Silver Salt undoubtedly has to be on your list which can cater to the same...
