KFC — Restaurant in Kerala

Multiple awful experience from this store. Worst KFC store ever visited in kerala. Took more than 35 minutes to get order both times. They will tell us to wait for 10-15 minutes after payment. But once we reach them even after 20 mins , our order would not be ready and the main part is that they are not even aware of the order. While showing the bill, they are discussing something each other in confusion and then ask me to wait for 10 mins more, its happened twice with me. At first time in 14 august 2024, i ordered for around 8:52 pm and there was a power failure in store at around 9:25 pm for around 2 mins and then i asked them about my order status and they were on confusion , they asked me to wait for another some time and gave me my food at around 9:35 and said that delay was due to power supply. I then asked the power was just gone a few minutes back , what were u doing till then. They avoided my question and moved on.

Second incident on 28 sep 24. Ordered on 9:54 pm and asked to wait for 15 mins. It was for take away. I waited almost 30 mins because there was some rush at counter and then went to enquire about my order. They are not even aware ,asked me to wait and the guy on cash counter criticising the guy on kitchen and saying me that he didnt cooked the burger and so. What can i do with that? And also they provided me the order pack within 5 mins , i also wondered how quick they adjusted this food for me and they also said that two piece strip is also there as late complimentary. SO I decided not to complaint on KFC site that day because they provided me the food soon after i complained. But once i reached home and opened , i realised that the whole food including zingers, popcorn and their complimentary strips are not even fresh. It feels like whole rubber and cold like ice and even the smell was also there .Once i touched the food the whole masala came to my hand , i avoided chicken and just ate buns from burger .

Should not visit this store. Much better stores are available in kochi and ernakulam. Even KFC kaloor , KFC central mall have better service and quality than this...

This used to be our regular KFC outlet until our very recent visit almost a week ago. Previously it used to be excellent in all aspects, but our recent visit was horrible and I came here to write the review to see the ratings have gone down significantly, so I understand a lot of people felt the same.

Here’s what I noticed:

1. poor cleanliness: let’s face it, customers don’t clean up after themselves, and all the tables except 2 in the outlet had trash, that remained even as we left the place after eating!! This is completely unacceptable.

2. the self order machine: I’m a big time fan of this setup, but since there was no customer waiting at the counter I went to the counter, the manager(I’m assuming from the uniform), looked at me, waited for two minutes before asking me to use the machine (which doesn’t accept card payments btw). I ordered from the machine and took the bill to the counter when he said you can do this at the machine as well.

I’m very upset at this because I remember the previous time (when this restaurant used to be good), a non-malayali person seemed to be in charge, and when somebody got the order wrong he was extremely polite and replaced it for us. How he behaved and how he quickly resolved the issue was an example of best employee behaviour and from that we now came across this person who shouldn’t even be a staff there tbh.

3. the food: The fries were cold, the burger was cold and different recipe( additional sauce and no onions as opposed to the original one), the burger bun seemed stale, the wings tasted horrible! Nobody expects a gourmet meal at KFC, but everybody expects some fast and good tasting food. Left without finishing the meal (a first in the case of KFC).

They also seemed to be terribly understaffed, just saw around 3 people.

The KFC was practically empty. Hence we expected fast service. When we went to the order counter there were 2 lady staff sitting idly. They said order can ONLY made on the Kiosk. I had to wait in line to use the Kiosk since there was already 2 customers before me. After ordering 12 bucket combo and 2 burgers I chose 7up instead of Pepsi. While trying to make payment via credit card an error kept showing so I chose the option to pay at the counter. I also informed her for the combo selected we had chosen 7up instead of pepsi and also specified we wanted no ice in all three drinks ( since most often they get the drinkfw order wrong.) She said it's fine, that she would collect the payment later and call when the food was ready. When we went to get seated practically all of the tables were filthy, one of the seats and the floor next to it has coke all over. It felt like none of the tables were wiped clean. When I came to collect the food they served 1 7up and 2 pepsi. I specified that it was not what I had chosen from the self-service kiosk, it only showed an option to switch from Pepsi to other drink options and so I chose 7up.
