This is not a Kerala restaurant. This is Manglorean. So those who are expecting Kerala style/taste food will be disappointed. They are not very upfront about it. Anyway we sat to eat. We ordered the safe items on the menu. We ordered Lemon-Butter prawns and it was so-so. 6 Medium prawns and it was for 349. Kerala Parotta was good and reasonably priced at 20 per piece. Appam is ok but they do not know how to make it well. It was burnt from the bottom. As a Malayali I was not too happy. Others still may find it alright. Then we ordered Neymeen curry which was in Mangalore style. Curry was tasty but there were hardly 2-3 very small (I mean very small) pieces. It was at INR460.00. An absolute ripoff. Then the most atrocious part of the whole meal. We ordered a white pomfret tawa fry. We know a thing about fish. White pomfret which weighs 150gms each sells for about 1000 a kg in retail. We got one such fish and they charged us Rs.1180/- for a single fish which is not more than 150gms. It was amazingly high priced...A rip off of Himalayan proportions. You may claim that I am a disgruntled customer, which is fine. Please do visit them at your own risk. There is an Ebbin's restaurant which gives absolutely tasty and reasonably priced Kerala food. There I got a Neymeen (Kingfish) pollichathu - large piece - for INR.360.00. We ate more food from Ebbin's restaurant for half the price. And one more tip for those wanting to savour Kerala food in Kerala. Don't visit a restaurant which does not serve Beef and/or pork. Unless those are pure vegetarian restaurants. I am attaching the receipt here. The restaurant may claim that the fish was not 150 gm, it was 160 or 175. But knowing a bit about fish, I can say it was indeed a very small fish and they marked it up by 500%.

This is going to be a long one Usually when I write about dining experience I dive into the food and it's flavour, things at Fish Market Multi cuisine Restaurant was a different one , we met this wonderful staff (brother) who came smiling across our table of two and asked us what we wanted to order, we asked for the menu and he started to tell us each item so eloquently in Malayalam and I was like boy I don't understand the names and as he passed on the menu I just fell I could trust this gentle man in bringing us the best on the table , he asked us is 2000+ budget fine with us and we agreed to take the plunge , what comes next was a wonderful tasty prawns fry smooth in taste and wonderful to smell and the crumble brownie powder just melted in the mouth great start of the evening dinner , then the fish fry gravy in red ( as pictures inserted ) and a green fish fry gravy , what a satisfying dinner and our first fish treat in cochin. After dinner we took a selfie with this brother , he came up and requested he take a picture of us in front of the restaurant we were so happy and left with a feeling of love and pride for FISH MARKET MULTI CUISINE RESTAURANT of Cochin.

What a find!! I'm not sure how no one is talking about them. It's hidden from the main road, in a little residential compound. It's a house converted into a restaurant. It has that charm about it. When I entered they were no cars parked so I could see the whole house really nicely but as I was leaving there were many cars and I feel customers who come in get robbed of this experience. Coming to the food I have absolutely no words to describe it. We ordered the squid, prawns ghee roast and a tawa fried fish, along with the veg meal. Everything was on point. The veg meal veggies were absolutely delicious. They had the beetroot which i loved because it had coconut as well. The tawa fried fish was by far the stand out. The meat was just melting of my fingers. It was that well cooked. The masala also was perfect. There was nothing over spiced which usually feel when you come to places where even after the meal your lips or tongue are burning or irritated but here everything was perfect. The same goes for the prawns ghee roast as well as the squid masala. 10 on 10 on the food and service.

When it comes to redefining seafood, Fish Market Multicuisine Restaurant Kochi has outdone itself with its Red Gravy Fish Fry, Green Gravy Fish Fry, and a daringly creative Red Gravy Fish Fry with Brownie Crinkle Powder. Each dish is a masterpiece, bursting with flavors that tantalize the taste buds and leave a lasting impression.

The Red Gravy Fish Fry is a bold, flavorful marvel. Its tangy and spicy profile is expertly crafted, with the gravy blending traditional spices into a symphony of zest and warmth. The fish is fried to its perfection, locking in its moist, flaky texture that complements the robust red gravy.

The Green Gravy Fish Fry, on the other hand, offers a refreshing twist. The vibrant green gravy, infused with fresh herbs and perhaps a hint of green chili, brings a light yet flavor-packed punch. It’s the epitome of freshness, making every bite feel like a celebration of nature.

And then there’s the Red Gravy Fish Fry with Brownie Crinkle Powder—an absolute game-changer. Who would’ve thought that the rich, chocolatey notes of brownie crinkle powder could elevate a fish dish? It's a dish that challenges conventions and wins!

Each dish is a testament to the chef’s ingenuity and precision. About ordering the dishes, just leave it on Mr. Rizwan, he'll order the most perfect and delicious dishes for you. The staff is also very warm, welcoming and prompt.

This restaurant has truly set a new standard for creative seafood cuisine. Whether you're an adventurous foodie or someone who appreciates the finer things in life, these dishes promise to leave you...
