Located in the heart of Thrissur, Pisharody's Restaurant(Pure Veg) offers a delightful journey into the culinary traditions of Kerala. Recently, I had the pleasure of partaking in their Sadhya, served on traditional banana leaves, and it was an experience worth savoring.
The Sadhya at Pisharody's Restaurant(Pure Veg) is a true testament to Kerala's rich gastronomic heritage. From the moment the meal was laid out before me, the aroma of spices and the vibrant colors of the dishes transported me to the heart of Kerala.
The Sadhya featured two types of payasam – one made with ripe bananas and the other with Palada. Both payasam's were indulgently rich and creamy, providing a perfect balance of sweetness to the meal. The accompanying side curries were equally impressive, bursting with authentic flavors that delighted the taste buds.
While the food stole the show with its authenticity and taste, the service at Pisharody's Restaurant felt somewhat average. While the staff members were polite, there were occasional lapses in attention and promptness that could be improved upon.
On a positive note, the restaurant offers ample parking space, making it convenient for guests to visit without any hassle. Moreover, the ambiance of the restaurant, set within a traditional Kerala house, adds a nostalgic charm to the dining experience, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
In conclusion, Pisharody's Restaurant(Pure Veg) in Thrissur is a haven for those seeking an authentic taste of Kerala cuisine. While there may be room for improvement in service, the delightful flavors and traditional ambiance make it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and cultural...
Read moreFirst time I went there in 2016 and that time the food was superb, each and every item in ILA SADYA (Kerala Meals) was too good. So I used to go there frequently. But after end of 2017 I couldn't go there as I moved to some other place. I used to miss this food. And I always recommended this place to my friends and relatives. I was always sad that I couldn't go there for long time. Whenever I have kerala sadya somewhere I used to tell people that they have to try Pisharodys sometimes. And finally after a long time I got a chance to have food from here today. I was so glad. I visited the restaurant in the peak time. So, there was a wait more than 25 minutes. And I was really disappointed with the behaviour of the staff! And after a long wait, food arrived. And to be Frank, I was totally disappointed!!! I bet, I cook better than this. The rice was not cooker well. Sambar was over cooked. Thoran was too disappointing, not at all delicious. And each and every item had some deffects. Everything was already became cool by the time they served it to us. These all items need to be served hot. They used to do so in earlier times. Even few of my friends told me that Pisharodys is not a good place for kerala meals. I had never agreed. And now I realize that they are true!!! Totally...
Read moreHello Team Pisharody’s
I visited your restaurant earlier today, and I would like to share my experience. As you were serving only the Onam Sadhya, the restaurant was extremely crowded. Unfortunately, there was no one managing the crowd or guiding the guests properly. The staff member standing in front of the restaurant was neither welcoming nor professional, and it gave the impression that guests were being treated as though they were coming for free food.
When I asked him how to find a table, he simply told me to wait and find one on my own. While I fully understand the need to wait during busy times, I believe there should be a proper system in place. For example, collecting guest phone numbers and calling them once a table is ready would allow guests to wait comfortably in their cars, rather than standing in front of others who are already dining.
Unfortunately, due to this experience, I left the restaurant without having food. It was disappointing, especially on such a festive occasion.
I hope you will consider revising the system and ensure that someone is assigned to manage the crowd and communicate with guests more professionally.
Thank you for your attention to...
