This could've been the best heritage bar in Kolkata; unfortunately, there is no AC in the main dining area. However, the ambiance will transport you to the '90s, and itās truly beautiful. Located in the prime area of Kolkata Esplanade, beside the Grand Hotel, this place embodies the nostalgia of retro Kolkata. The behavior of some staff members and the service here are also excellent. Fish Liver Gin @ Rs.385 (5/5) ---------------------------------------- Recommended by their staff member, Mr. Firoz, this dish stands out in a sea of bars that serve only a few pieces as starters while charging a premium. It was a full meal, featuring sautĆ©ed veggies, fresh fish with a batter fry coating, mild spices, and a flavorful sauceāsuper delicious! I also tried their Drums of Heaven and Chicken Kasturi Kebab, which were both quite average. Food and drinks prices are quite average. This place may not be ideal for the sweltering summer days of Kolkata, but it's definitely worth a visit on a rainy or cool day and I'm planning the same.

My experience was good in this Bar cum Restaurant. Location wise it's great for communication. Very near to Esplanade Bus Terminus and 100meters from metro. The bar is just beneath the famous Grand Hotel. They have two types of sitting arrangements. The former is just after the bar entrance and without AC. The later one is in upstairs accommodates only 9 tables but is having AC facility. The waiters are generally seen good and comforting the visitors. The quality and quantity of Dishes are reasonably good, but price is slightly higher on the side. All types of Drinks are served here and costs almost at per with the other bars. Next time if you want to lighten your enjoyment, can visit this old bar in Dharmatala.

Located in the Esplanade area, it is a very good restaurant cum bar in this area.. There are 2 floors here.. the ground floor is beautifully decorated with various wall paintings and high ceiling fans are there.. the 1st floor is comparatively smaller in size and has AC.. grpund floor doesn't have AC.. Food is excellent and price is on the medium-higher range.. We had lemon coriander soup which is my all time favourite soup here.. The starters are quite good, both chicken and fish items.. Chopsueys are though so so in taste.. There are offers on various drinks which is written during the entrance of the restaurant.. Ovetall its a nice restaurant.. Enjoy the food dear foodies āŗļøāŗļøāŗļø

Has a heritage touch in decoration. Ground floor's wall is nicely decorated with painting.that is non ac. First floor is an ac hall. Light of the first floor is quite bright for a restaurant which is quiet disturbing. They also serve hard drinks . We took creamy chicken soup, greavy mixed chowmin and dry chilli fish. Food were awesome, specially soup and chowmin were really good. All the waiters are seniors which is good to see. You will not get internet if you want to pay through card or by any other electronic device. Lil bit internet connection is in ground floor so you need to come down to pay. It's a boon in the mid of the Esplanade Street food.

Located just besides The Grand Oberoi on the Esplanade, Kolkata, this watering hole is frequented by old timers and patrons who are referred OR out for shopping in the New Market Area. Now this has been renovated and wears a modern look. Chilli Prawn and Mutton Kakori kebab is simply amazing. Drinks are priced moderately. 27 Mar 24- decor has further improved. The ground floor has a roof height of almost 18-20 feet and hence you donāt need an AC. Numerous paintings dot the wall. Two TVs to watch a game. Today, I ordered green salad and grilled Betki fish. The food, as usual is awesome.

When you are sure enough where and how to spend the lazy evening. Evening can be well spent with your group of friends or colleagues. One of the well known place in Kolkata, in one of the busiest place (Esplanade). What can be a better choice in this sultry summer than a chilled beer with some spicy and tasty chilli fish. Service was quite fast. It was a big space with ample sitting arrangments with ac and non AC being separated. Food quality is quite good and even the crowd pull was quite good in weekdays.
