Disappointed with the Quality – A Serious Concern for Flury’s

We visited Flury’s at South City Mall, Kolkata on 1st June 2025 and ordered a pineapple cake slice, expecting the usual standard of freshness and taste that the Flury’s name is known for.

To our disappointment, the cake was clearly not fresh—it felt like it was a couple of days old, though it was being sold as fresh. After a few bites, we experienced severe acidity and had to stop eating it altogether. We reported this to the staff and were offered a replacement, but that does not resolve the core issue — how did something stale make it to the customer in the first place?

It was extremely disheartening — not because it was a special day, but because such a lapse is unacceptable on any day. Customers walk into Flury’s with trust in its long-standing reputation, and this kind of oversight can seriously damage that.

We are sharing this as a strong feedback and a call for improvement. A brand as iconic as Flury’s must not let its quality slip — rigorous checks on freshness and food safety are non-negotiable. We hope the management takes this seriously for the sake of all future...

I visit Flurys at Base Level South City Mall almost everyday. The overall experience is always quite positive, there were a few aspects worth mentioning. The service is exceptional, with the standout being Anil Kumar Sharma. Despite not having a hotel background, Anil's hospitality skills are remarkable. He is incredibly attentive, always alert, and has an impressive eye for detail. His warm and welcoming demeanor truly enhances the dining experience.

The coffee at Flurys is excellent, perfect for a quick break while shopping. However, one major downside is the presence of flies, which detracts from the otherwise pleasant ambiance. I hope the management addresses this issue soon.

Overall, if you're looking for great coffee and stellar service, especially from Anil, Flurys at South City Mall is worth a visit, though the fly problem should be considered. Housekeeping should be more...

Stale food and rancid smell

Ordered a cheese cake and chocolate cubes. They were stale ... had an odd taste and a rancid smell . The outlet has started disposing off their old stock at this outlet. It was pathetic and extremely dissapointing. We did not have the stale products and asked for a replacement.

It seemed as though they knowingly do this to unsuspecting customers.

This is the second time it has happened to us. Beware before consumption from this place especially If u r getting something packed for take away.

To the management- please take care of the quality issues. With such deteriorating quality of food at your outlet ... it's just a matter of time u will be loosing ur old customers who choose to have from this place only because of its past reputation of premium...
